In a classic act of self indulgence, I'm feeling somewhat sad for those of us born around 1950, we have lost virtually all the 'names' which once defined the era of our childhood and young lives. Relatives, neighbours, friends, colleagues, sports stars, media celebrites ... nearly all gone. Famous people still make the headlines - it's just that l don't know who they are. I guess it comes to us all.

Tony Rice, the single most influential acoustic guitarist over the last 50 years. He took the acoustic from a strumming accompaniament box to a level equal or above all other instruments. Sad day in the Fisch household.

We don't play them enough IMO.
