Frank Ifield aged 86, whose first chart-topper "I Remember You" was no.1 when we made our First Division debut vs Arsenal, and still held the top spot when we put three without reply past Everton! Three of his next four singles reached the top within the space of a year, after which time the hits started to dry up. My personal favourite was "Summer Is Over", a Tom Springfield composition that was a minor hit in the autumn of 1964. R.I.P. Frank.

Grayson Murray commits suicide at the age of 30. One of the worlds best golfers who had just recently won his 2nd tour event took his own life, which is terribly sad. If you are struggling with your mental health, seek help, it's not a sign of weakness, but one of strength, don't suffer in silence.

All these deaths over recent weeks I been reading this thread are getting younger and I remember watching them or listening to them over the years It’s all getting uninspiring.

Worked for them at one time, sorry that reading habits are changing so much that a daily evening paper thinks that printing one edition weekly is the answer to their decline, it will only hasten it even more now
