Have a read of this. Pretty interesting. www.cu-fc.com/news/2020/september/club-statement/Streaming Revenues The way it works currently is that the home team keep all of the revenue for the tickets they sell through their own website and they also get the revenue for the first 500 that buy via the away team. For example: for Saturday’s game against Bolton, we sold 452 iFollow passes, (so we keep all of the revenue from those), and Bolton sold 2252 iFollow passes, (of which we get the revenue from the first 500).
This has put a very new aspect on the revenue that is available to clubs this season. Bolton made more money in gate receipts from our home fixture than we did because they had the revenue from 1,752 iFollow passes whereas we had the revenue from 952 iFollow passes. In normal times, we would have expected about £54,000 in home gate receipts from this fixture but we will receive just shy of £8,000, whereas Bolton would have expected about £600 for the 5% commission we pay them but will have received about £14,000 more than that.
We sold just over 300 streams for the away game against Bradford, so we earnt £0.00 for that away game and I expect that to be the case for every away game this season. So based on twenty three away games, Bolton look set to receive about £345,000 from the streaming of their away games this season whilst we can look forward to approximately £0.00.
Perhaps these facts might help some of you that think we should still be in the Championship understand what we are up against.

You're right, that was pretty interesting.
I was thinking that we might get more paying customers on the live streaming than a normal home crowd.
If we're anyway similar to the U's then I'm miles out.

Thinking about it the people using our live stream must be low, otherwise I'm pretty sure that they would of published the figures.

I think we're more than Colchester. A lot more.

O's average last season was 5,504
U's was 3,634
On Saturday the first half audio-only was inaudible so I thought why don't they show for free the seeing version. About 10 seconds later I'm watching Peter Kitchen in the studio doing an interview, followed by the all seeing 2nd half.
I shall use my powers wisely.

This infers that our match at Oldham earned us no revenue unless we had more than 500 streaming sign-ups. The details must be a nightmare, my international pass costs £140, about £3 per game. Does this count at all l wonder?

It's all a bit baffling isn't it.
You would have thought you keep all the sales through your own channel.

Methinks we are being diddled.

Does that opening post just say clubs with bigger followings get more money? Can’t see the issue with that.

Are you a freemason,or just a mystic. I think I might be Jesus. Did you raise Lazarus or just see him play for the O's.

Defo remember him playing for the O's. That's a name that sticks in your mind.
Peter Brabrook was my favourite at the time though and I've still got a vision of him going pass someone on the West Wing/Coronation Gardens End and putting in a cross.
Someone else supposedly put in a cross but I wasn't there so I can't confirm it.
