for the athletics and have to say it is a very impressive stadium. West Ham must be peeing themselves that they are going to get it for next to nothing, how that is being allowed to happen i will never understand. Having the track there for football won't be good but if they remove it then they have got the best bargain ever

It's an awesome stadium. Was there last year for the Paralympics.
Agree with what you say about West Ham.
Regardless of what happens, the track has to go, or retractable seating is going in.

Track is staying as there has to be an athletics legacy, but it will be covered with retractable seating for football. Best outcome for us would be a compensation package from LLDC or Premier League, stay at Brisbane Road and build a decent new Two tier East Stand that would seat 5- 6000 and get our capacity up to around 12,500.
If we go into the Stadium we would only use the lower tier (18,000) and while that is plenty for our attendances even after the building work the view will be pony.

I was there for an evening session of the Olympics and the atmosphere was electric,,something i'll never forget. But I wouldn't like to watch football there, like every other Olympic stadium that has attempted to be a football ground,it does not work! However I can see a business case for Orient moving there. If,just if,we were taken over by a rich eastern Asian person and the name changed to London Orient and we made it to the premiership, imagine the credos the club would gain in the far east(oriental world). By that time the track would have gone and the stadium rebuilt because it wont be able to support the athletics forever.I reckon 10 to 15yrs. If Orient don't do it Wet Sham will.It wont happen in my lifetime but it will happen.
