You must of realised mungo,that it's not like that this season.We set the trend early season with win win,now Wolves and Brentford are doing that convincingly.I've been saying for weeks now that O's are not an auto choice(happy to be proved wrong).We have been unconvincing since Christmas but I still think we should try to finish a comfortable 4th and rest as many players on the way as possible. |

Automatic promotion would be the ultimate. But as you've said, we're nowhere near the level that Wolves have set.
We're in a fight for 2nd with Brentford. Playoffs are in the bag already, but I very much doubt we'll beat a top team over two legs. So it's basically 2nd place or nothing for me.
We just need to be better than Brentford over the remaining games. Today we weren't. Last Saturday we were.
11 from 15 points ain't a bad return over the last 5 games.

The only thing I have had concern about all season is the lack of defensive cover I think we have 1 to cover the whole back 4 not very good really I agree.You can sense it at times that defenders have probably had to play with niggling injuries and not enough time to recover. I'm a bit worried that some of our most important players like Elliot,Kevin,Coxy even James and Vincelot,have all gone of the boil together and Russ is reluctant to change anything.Well he might as well start now and give some much needed rest to some players,after all we will be in the play offs but no way auto.
