Well we have reached our points tally for last season with 11 games spare so well done to Russ and the team for getting this far Another 33 points are still up for grabs How many do you think the O's can actually realistically get?

Orient now have to beat both Brentford and Wolves to stand any chance of automatic promotion.
Sad way for the season to end.

This season definately has all the feel of the 73/74 season? when we played some great football up to the new year, but slighty fell away in the second half and finally just missed out on promotion on the very last game against villa.

At least we should be guaranteed play-offs - yes I know its a lottery, but at least Slade has experience of them at Yeovil.

The first half of the season was a feeling that i have not had following the Os for the past 40+ years, that we was going to get something from a game right up to the final whistle even when losing....Sadly thats now gone, but still believe we can do it via the play offs. COYOs

COYOs I think we're all on a bit of a downer for no reason. We never gave up against Colchester and won it in the 88th minute. I agree we don't seem to have the momentum of earlier on in the season, but I have faith in Russ and the boys. In any other season except this one, over the last ten years we'd be clear top with a few points to spare too. If you took the last calendar year as a guide we'd have over 90 points. This really is a phenomenal effort when you think about it all. Not just by us, but by both Brentford and Wolves too. And they have fantastic resources at their disposal. For the most part this season, we've had a centre back at right back, and a right back at left back. Our winger is in his first full season and Lloyd James was being called an amateur last season. Arguably our best striker is 35 and his strike partner has missed half the season. Our support striker /winger pulled his hamstring and is only just coming back. The only criticism I have at the moment is the decision to bring Dagnall in but not play to his strengths. This seems odd as I think he's potentially a class player but needs the service. To leave on a happy note.. Don't Russ's sides get better over the course of a season? Don't they tend to finish well?

I think 92 is the level we need to reach, abnother 21, maybe even 22 points. Whether we do that or not I'm not sure, we'll need to beat both Brentford and Wolves I think to stand a chance and slow them down. It can be done, but as mentioned, we've matched last years total with 11 games to spare, a fantatstic achievment all round regardless.

If, for the sake of argument, we assume that we miss out on auto promotion, then we need very few points for the playoffs, max. about 9 probably about five. While there are benefits in finishing third or fourth, I'm not sure they are that great. So instead of knackering ourselves to catch the top two (if it comes to that) we could pretty much take April off. Obviously we won't, because we'll want to keep up the momentum blah blah, but theoretically we could just relax, give people time off, get everybody fighting fit, get all pending suspensions out of the way, then slaughter the opposition in the playoffs and make a bundle at the same time.

6 wins, 5 draws, unbeaten until the end of the season? Think we can achieve that, but 94 points might not be enough this season.
Brentford are capable of 25pts from 13 games, so we need the wheels to come off their bus, hopefully starting Saturday.
