Its easy being wise after the event but it was obvious after 15 mins that we were going to win numerous free kicks and surely ness who strikes a ball really well should have been brought into the fray. What was the point in bringing on batt and leaving mooney and lisbie both on when it was clear we were not winning the midfield battle against 10 men. Sorry but we should have brought on ness. We are too predictable and our full backs NEVER overlap. Well that's the rant over, I just hope Sheffield do not nick that sixth spot.

Yer that is just about right but that is the system we play and the only variation is Batt, sometimes it works sometimes it doesn't.

For all the positive things about Slade, tactically he is quite limited.
I was very disapointed how Orient resorted to ineffective long balls when they couldn't get through midfield.
I agree Ness would have been a better option and also Dagnall should have started and Batt should have come on for Mooney much sooner.
But of course it is all with hindsight.

It surprised me when he brought James off that he didn't bring either Lasimant or Simpson on for the final few minutes and go 3 or 4 up front.

We didn't need more bodies up front , we needed more of a presence in midfield. One of slades faults is that he stays loyal to our players and refuses to play loanees except in emergencies. We all saw what Loza had to offer but he played Simpson instead , and Ness despite scoring a terrific goal is out of the running.

I still have a look `over the other side`. This post needs to be read as its spot on (its not my work).
After a little look through the board, this game of football becomes so easy.
All we needed to do today was play our loan players, play less hoof ball, play with more urgency, be better at dead ball situations, play wingers wider, don't play various players like Lisbie, Sawyer and Cuthbert, don't use long throw ins, make their keeper work a lot more, gamble some more, leave people up at corners, make sure the goalkeeper saves a tame shot, chuck Batt on the minute they went down to ten men and go three at the back and hey presto.............
We'd have won 10-0.
Note to Russell Slade - make sure you read the above and action for the play offs Although tongue in cheek its about spot on for the game yesterday

No, if Orient did all that they would have won 10-1.

The post on the other side is indeed true. But Russell is human like the rest of us and has his strengths and weaknesses, over time theses are shown up again like the rest of us. Maybe he could have played it different and we might have well got stuffed. But although we have recovered from the blip of a three game losing streak, we were hardly convincing and we are predictable. Our midfield has been over run many times since the start of the year and maybe a slight tweak of tactics and personnel is what is needed to freshen things up.

Having watched it I was very disappointed, first game I had been able to watch since the last time we played Brentford and I was very disapointed, a man sent off and a goal down and we had no idea, you would think it was Brentford who needed the points not us, as soon as the player went off we should of went for the kill, like the rapper 50 cent says get rich or die tryin, it doesn't matter if we lost 1nill or 3nill, but it matters a lot if we had own or at least Drew.

Personally I didnt think there was much to choose between both teams, though they were much more aggressive/dirty and its never as easy as it sounds playing against 10 men. There are still plenty of games to go and I am sure there will be a few twists and turns before the fat lady sings....
