Firstly it has been a terrific season for Orient and they can be proud of everything they achieve regardless of what happens.
However, with the playoffs looking likely there seem to be some issues with the squad at the moment which Russ Slade should notice if they want to finish the season on a high.
The ones I have noticed in the last few games (I didn't see today but I have read reports from those who hhave):
Moses Odubajo is exhausted and should be rested
Vincelot and James should not be automatic first choices in midfield - put in Ness and Bartley
The strikers have really gone off the boil - Lisbie looked finished the minute he signed a new deal, Mooney has lost his mojo and Dagnall is starting to look like the Fernando Torres/Roberto Soldado of League One.
Why does Batt never start?
Although Orient have a small squad Slade doesn't seem to use any of the fringe players like Lasimant, Gorman and Loza when he was at the club. In such a long season you can't just play the same team every week.
Defence and Goalkeeper are still good I think.
Slade should mix it up a bit if Orient are going to do well in the playoffs as you need to come into the playoffs on good form.

Gorman he is the forgotten man. It is a shame Batt got injured in the warm up i would have liked to see him start on Tuesday.

I'm not panicking Lexi O. But you must admit that Orient have gone a bit stale of late. If they go into the playoffs tires and out of sorts they will not even reach the final.

Not sure what the answer is here, but we have not played well since the new year, would like ness and Batt to be in starting line up now, if for no other reason than to rest some players for the play offs.

Well Lexi O, I am not a Leyton Orient fan so if you are happy to be in League One next season then so be it. No sweat off my back back as I don't particularily want to fork out Championship ticket prices anyway. But this was surely the one and only chance Orient had to reach a higher level in the last and next 30 years so keep up your happy clappy stuff and enjoy mid table or relegation from League One next season. Sorry to be a bum but this is true and anyway Wenger is a genius and I hope he signs on for another 1000 games

I am sure Russel will rest some of the players over the next couple of weeks. It wouldnt surprise me if he brings in a loanee (defender?) next week as well. Russel knows what he is doing.

I don't disagree with the initial post. I have been saying the lack of goals from forwards over the last month to 6 weeks is a real concern. Lisbie, quite rightly, didn't start yesterday and therefore slade just have him in mind for Tuesday start. Batt was the one player with his pace that can stretch defences and nick a goal so do we know how long he is out for?
The defence is solid and playing well. Odubajo needs a break but who comes in for him? Lasimant? Vincelot has his break over the next couple of games as he is suspended now. Bartley will come in and James only played 70 mins yesterday. Therefore line up for Tuesday
Eldin Cuthbert Omuzusi Clarke Baudry Odubajo ( give him 70 mins lasimant to come on) James (as above with ness coming on) Bartley Cox Lisbie (Simpson to come on and score the winner against his old club....) Dagnall
We need to keep going 6 of brentford a last 10 games are away from home. We are 5 points adrift. We need to win 6 of our last 8 games and pick up a draw from one of the remaining games which would put us on 94 points. If brentford win 5 draw 1 and lose 4 it will come Down to goal difference we are 6 goals behind.....last minute goal last game of the season at mk dons sends us up instead of brentford....
Let's be realistic it don't look like we will win 6 out of 8 and it doesn't look like brentford will lose 4 out of 10.
We need to concentrate on beating Oldham, then Bradford and go from there.
One thing I do know is that we need to finish minimum of 3 rd to avoid Rotherham and Preston I still think peterboro will make 6 th spot.

As the season progresses other teams get more information/knowledge of the opposition -works both for and against us. Most of our opposition have realised that Mose Odubajo has speed and potential and as a result all games he is now closely marked by always one and sometimes two defenders. The same to a lesser degree with the strikers Mooney and Lisbie. Our problem is we do not have the resources to rotate players and change style.

Orient can rotate more than they do though. Stick Ness in - he looked good whenever he has come on and is a goal threat.

Maybe Ness has a chance Tuesday night and Saturday as Vincelot is now suspended for 2 games

Slade seems to prefer Bartley.
