Cannot believe the way you lot are slagging off Slade. When ever a manager is successful and raises the bar, the expectations of the fans becomes deluded. We are in 3rd place and guaranteed a play off place with 7 games to go - get real!
Serves you right if he upsticks and goes to a bigger club, there's plenty for him to choose from and I am sure, plenty that would employ and appreciate him!
I for one would be absolutely gutted if he left.

I have a feeling he'll think he's taken the club as far as he can this season....

I have to say that Slade is the best manager since George Petchey , though the football of the former was different class. He has assembled an excellent starting eleven by using his limited budget to go for quality not quantity , but he has a misguided sense of loyalty to those players. He refuses to play loanees when they are obviously superior to contracted players. Anyone who thinks that simpson was more of a threat than loza must be a candidate for the funny farm. Virtually every club in our league utilises players from higher divisions, Brentford regularly play 3 , but we sign them and leave them roasting on the bench. Not only does this weaken the team but it deprives players of a rest period to recuperate. Our players have not gone downhill overnight, they are suffering from having played nearly 50 games , that's why their form has dropped , and this could have been avoided by rotating the squad and playing the loanees.

Very good and sensible post. Let's hope that this Everton chap gets some game time to give the 'regulars' some rest before the playoffs but I don't hold out any hope...

osoldest...that pretty much sums it up....even when we had Kane, Caroll and M'poku....they rarely started matches.

It is a shame that Coulthirst Loza Gorman Lasimant and whoever else I may of missed out over this season haven't/ didn't get much if any game time and the 4 I have mentioned all have pace and are very direct going forward which I love to see instead of the boring play out from the back all the time tactics
I know there's an old adage don't fix what's not broken but for me I and it pains me to say it I think the O's team has been a little flat since the beginning of January
Other teams know they just have to play an extra man in midfield and we can't seem to cope with it and I don't see any other different tactics coming from the technical area
All said though it's been a wonderful season so far
I can still dream we will get auto promotion
