His first avowed intent to be a pilgrim....then sacked.

RW seems happy here,I hope all the good work he has done and future success we crave keeps him at Orient.

Possibly more to it than meets the eye? They're in terrible form (about equal to ours). Anything but a win on Saturday will likely see them lose their playoff spot. Club obviously thinks they need to roll the dice.

Unless Barnsley plan to “ parachute” someone in in time for Saturday then it still makes little sense to me tbh.

I presume they think they have a better chance with the possible bounce from Martin Devaney as their caretaker manager than Collins. Devaney has also been their caretaker manager before so they must trust him.

RW to Barnsley is a good fit. Bigger club, more money, local. Let’s hope they have lined up someone else.

As we have not heard that RW has signed an extension to his contract and he will not be taking the team this Saturday it looks to me that if offered he would take the Barnsley job.The same thing happened at Swindon when their board could not match his ambitions and he moved closer to home at Salford. He says he loves our club but we cannot compete with the likes of Barnsley.

Their accounts don't look too good. They have a 50% decrease in turnover £9.5m, which also flowed through to the loss being 50% down as well at £4m however, there was a legal settlement in the prior year of £3m so if that's removed the loss is worse on a like for like basis.
Cash is being burnt through and a share option of £6m helped to stem the flow. Accumulated losses of £16m sit on the balance sheet.
Richie is going nowhere and I'm still waiting for Redintheface to take up the charity bet I proposed on his very subject.

I’ve no doubt that despite those financials they will still appoint an ambitious new manager. Hope it’s not RW. We lost £3.9m last season. Seems like many clubs lose money.

Tom Cleverley appointed as permanent boss @ Watford - although just how “ permanent “that will be based upon the Hornets track record is anyone’s guess!😄

The only London teams not to have given them a pasting this season are Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford. Lost five nil away at Fulham, lost 6 nil at home to Arsenal, lost five two away at Palace and then yesterday's 5 nil thumping at Chelsea. Out of the Europa League and looking very unlikely to qualify for European Football this season.
