I'm gonna sack it all off for a few days.
See you back here for Tuesday's defeat away to Exeter.

That’s bang out of order whoever is doing that to Danny, he don’t deserve that. I’m hurting as we are losing and the play offs are slowly disappearing over the horizon, but I’d never abuse a club employee because of it. There’s a lot worse going on in the world than a orient losing a game of football. people are homeless, people relying on food banks, can’t heat their homes etc. I love football and it’s played a massive part in my life and I truly believe has given me a lot of positives, but it’s still only a game, to be enjoyed and loved, but not abused. if you read this Danny, ignore them and I know it’s easier said than done, but they ain’t worth it.

I’ve just seen some borderline racists nonsense over on the other board.
That place really is vile. The club should try to get it shut down.

Well said Thor I love this club and get the hump when we lose but come tomorrow I’ll be fine and I’m my opinion Danny was one of the clubs best assets this club had and will miss his many talents

Some people are going way over the top. I've had toxic comments myself recently (In person at a match) and there's no need for it.

Disgraceful. No place in a decent club, in fact no place in society for such behaviour. I feel ashamed that our club has such people as so called supporters. Danny, please accept my apologies and I’m sure I speak for many, that you have had to endure such things.
Sad.

Agree entirely. Only the worst of people, or swivel-eyed loons, would do such a thing. There are plenty on the other board with the capability do this, encouraged by the corpulent Father Ted and the intellectual pygmy, Prestige Worldwide. Such abusers are not Os fans.

Football fans are the worst in any sport. Most aren't true supporters and only go to games for fights or to push their agendas. Its the true disdain of the industry. Football is so backward compared to other sports and it should hang its head in shame. Football talks a good game on what it does for society but in reality it actually does the opposite. For it to spread to our club now is disgusting and puts black mark against our club that the supporters should be ashamed of.

Strong words Jim, but one thing is very clear - you are sadly totally correct.

Sorry jimbo but to say MOST fans only go to games for fights or to push their agendas is a huge exaggeration. I too would condemn the MINORITY who do wholeheartedly but don’t tar everyone with the same brush. 👍

To say most is possibly a little extreme but I would also say it's not a minority either. We need to address the elephant in the room. Abuse, racism, homophobia etc are all growing trends in football. None of which are being addressed by football. I wouldn't take my kids to a game of football nowadays. It's a sad admission but it's true. Why would I Subject my children to a game where they can sit and watch a game and two seats away hear abuse to a manager or player that they wouldn't hear at any other sport. You only have to look at social media and every discussion about football where two people support two different teams and it turns into a slagging match and offers for fights. Look at this forum where a certain individual twice offered to 'knock my block off'. So is it a minority.... I don't think it is anymore. I could name off the top of my head at least three things that football should hang it's head in shame about that is not discussed at any level that fans should be talking about but they don't so there is an agenda from fans and the powers in football. It's becoming toxic from every angle. Football is in a privileged place if you wanted change to happen in this world then football is the perfect platform for that to happen. Do they..... nope.

I was called a "F*ck8ng Prick" and told to "Stay and clap the team you c*&t" for leaving Stoke early at 2-0 down as I went to find my missus. Tensions are running very high at the moment it seems. Sad to see.

I appreciate your view jimbo and agree that the type of abuse levelled at players and managers (and even refs !) at top volume by some individuals is way out of line. Facebook/ instagram etc are not things in which I participate so have no first hand experience to relate. Speaking for myself I go to a game to watch the O’s in the hope they’ll win ( or at least do well) and support them in that. I have done for 60 years now. I accept my outlook is regarded as old fashioned and narrow but I don’t go with the thought of trying to make football a platform for change to happen in the world - personally I think that should begin at a different point in the cosmos. Just my point of view of course.👍

I see the nasty hypocrites who run the other board have been monitoring my posts on here and are once again rattled at someone calling out their woeful attempts at running a message board. And they have the audacity to call us loonies. On the very same thread the moderators are criticising the members of this board there are members of their board making threats to each other. They are so oblivious to their own inadequacies. They actively facilitate and encourage abuse and bullying, yet have the cheek to have a pop at this board which is run incredibly well, with dignity and civility. I really think the club should take steps to shut that place down, or at least force them to not use the club name, even if it is “unofficial”. lofcforum.com/forum1/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9017
