The only person rubbing their hands after that signing is the North End physio Plenty of overtime for him

Jamie in his early days at the club was a bright prospect but injury after injury has taken it's toll. I think he will be number 2 at Preston, as for a replacement we have the highly rated Grainger, in my opinion I would love to see Butcher back with them two fighting for the number 1 spot.

Butcher really ? He was ok when he stood in for jones but was a bit hapless at crosses
I would like to see a fresh face and somebody with experience

He will be missed. Despite being slated on here for recent form he always pulled off some great saves and if you think he was a bad goal keeper than look what happened when Prawn Jalal played for Orient.

Jones has already stated that if Orient play Preston he will take the freekicks and penalties because he knows ex players always score against Orient and he fancies his chances of a hattrick

If his penalties and free kicks are anything like his distribution we are pretty safe I reckon

“It feels great to be signing, a Club like Preston is where I want to be at this part of my career and it is where I want to try and push myself to be in the next division and Preston’s goals are exactly the same as mine.
“The potential of Preston is high, it shows in the way the Club is run, it is a very big Club with a lot of history and that is another thing about it, there is so much history and it doesn’t deserve to be in League One and I am coming here to help get them out of that situation.
“Goalkeepers don’t peak now until they are in their 30s, so hopefully I have got a long and successful career ahead of me and it starts this season with Preston North End.”
Jones has fond memories when reflecting on playing against the current crop of North End players and the Liverpudlian can’t wait to get started with his new teammates, goalkeeping coach and with featuring regularly at Deepdale.
“Deepdale is brilliant,” he continued.
“I had a successful game there a couple of seasons ago when Leyton Orient drew 0-0 which was a great result for them at the time and I had a great game and the fans were behind Preston all the time, cheering them on,I was so impressed with them so I can’t wait to be playing there every other week, to get them fans behind us and help us push up that table and get promoted to the Championship.
“I can only learn from the input of someone like Alan Kelly.
“I can’t wait to get started with him and it will be a great pleasure working with someone who has had that much experience and hopefully he can pass some of that on to me and help me to improve my game and keep improving.
“Preston were always up there at the top end of the division last season and that doesn’t happen by mistake.
“It was always a tough game going to Deepdale and it was even tougher playing Preston at my home at the time.
“They appear to be a great group of lads from what I have seen and I can’t wait to get started now.”
Since leaving the Everton Academy, Jones has only ever known one Club and that is Leyton Orient.
But he feels he will be moving to a Club were just competing in League One is not deemed a success.
“It has been a good six years at Leyton Orient but it is the right time to move,” added Jones.
“Leyton Orient had a great year this season, but they didn’t get over that line by getting promoted.
“I think moving club’s now to one like Preston; where staying in League One is an unsuccessful season, it is just where I want to be because my drive is much higher than that.”

In fact the Scouse prat is looking forward to playing Liverpool in a friendly? Well I hope Suarez comes at him and kicks him in the groin in the first minute and he is out for the season.
No thanks at all for the fans who backed him during his injury. Jog on you bin dipping Scouse fool Jones.

I just hope we don't have to try several keeper's until we get a decent one.

Great, he is joining a club where staying in league 1 is not a success . Thanks for the put down, if it was not for jones we would be playing in the championship. He should be praising us for paying him top wages while he has been out for a season and a third. Sure he is a good shot stopper, but he is next to useless with crosses and I have lost count of crosses that have been converted at the far post which he should have dealt with. Jones , you are not a patch on Eldin, so goodbye and good riddance.

Well not even one little mention of how he enjoyed his time at Orient or the fans. Reminds me when Orient played Everton away and after the match all he said was the Everton fans were amazing. Little scumbag.

This time I am going to boo Jamie Jones and give him some stick from the South Stand. Ungrateful little Pri#k Reminds me why I hate scousers.

The one thing i did notice on the Orient website was that he turned down contract offers. So the club were very keen on him staying, but obviously the lure of a bigger club, more money and being nearer home was too good to turn down. I am disappointed that he doesn't mention Orient and it's staff more. Will be interesting to see if Slade has anything to say about it. Do you think he would have stayed if we had got promoted ?

''Leyton Orient had a great year this season, but they didn't get over the line by getting promoted''
Yes that's right Jamie because for Rotherham's first you came out into no man's land and punched thin air, and for the 2nd you get beaten by a shot from 40 yards. Good luck for the rest of your career.

I think he would have stayed to be honest. Jamie Jones clearly has a high opinion of himself which is not a bad thing but he seems to think he is too good for League One. In fact he has been signed by a League One team which finished BELOW Leyton Orient in the table last season. I have heard people say that he has joined a new club and has to be nice to them etc etc but in many statements where a player has left a club he is always respectful to the fans and staff. In this case he only seems to mention how he played Preston at Deepdale a couple of season ago and was amazed by the home crowd. Apparently finishing 3rd in League ONe with Leyton Orient and not even playing for most of the season was 'dissapointing' to the great Jamie Jones.
