This probably puts our state of development into perspective. Plenty of work to do but not too bad all in all. About right. As a first season in League 1 we are doing ok and consolidation is the key. But it’s pretty clear we have some way to go. |

A long way to go..We could easily have been 1 up before they scored had our forwards had more composure.This coukd be 3/4-0..Second best all over the shop..As well as Drinan is playing he is very predictable |

They're a good side. However, we're not being dominated.
We struggle still in the final third. Maybe I'd take Ruel off for Galbraith and try and win the midfield battle more.
All it takes is for a ball to drop to us and we've got one back. I think we're still in it for now.
Focusing on their two goals. The first was given to them. The second the ball bounced perfectly to their player. Not saying they don't deserve the lead but we're not being outclassed.

Wouldn’t say they are much better than us, but they are nice on the eye. We dither too much. I’d say they are quite a lot better than us. Solid team. Agree a solid team, but they are second in the league, so I don’t feel they are streets ahead of us, just know exactly where their support is, whereas we look disjointed in possession. Their goals have come from their midfield squeezing the space, whereas Drinan. And Ruel are isolated from our midfield. Brown having a nightmare and we miss the outlet which is Jordan Graham. Pigott looks sharp to me, but not on the same wavelength as the strikers. |

Oxford are a good team tgey should have been 4 or 5 in front our midfield is getting overrun and theo is not a defender if we're not careful we'll concede 6

Tale of the stats. We have yet to have a shot on target. Cannot count the og. Oxford 5 on target and hit the woodwork 3 times with their off target chances.
We just can’t do it up front. Drinan full of running, Pigott some nice touches, Sotiriou not playing, well he is according to the team sheet. El Miz doing OK as usual, James in the main looks good. Not too sure any of our lot bar a couple would make their team.
Oxford work really hard, get behind the ball quickly and with our slow rate of going forward we are always trying to get passed a full defence. Maybe they will run out of steam.
