Maybe I'd take Ruel off for Galbraith and try and win the midfield battle more. Agree. Him or Drinan. Theo needs more cover and Brown has been poor. Also feels like our attackers are getting in each other's way a bit. And the up pops Ruel , perhaps he is one of them types of goal scorer .

And the up pops Ruel , perhaps he is one of them types of goal scorer . He is exactly that type of player. Frustrating. Drifts out, does nothing and scores. Imagine how good he could be if he either scored more or got involved more. But fair play to him, his best season for us, ever.

PS. That was our first shot on target this game. Oxford 7 on target. A fair reflection of their performance, that and 3 that hit the woodwork to our 1.
But it’s game on
Cant we clear the ball cleanly. 😡😡😡

What can you say? Oxford are a good team. Each of their players have decent ball control. It's no suprise to see them in second place. We were not outplayed. We were always in it. Although we lost, I still feel positive about our performance. We showed the right attitude to stick with it.
I feel Pigott is becoming a forward we need, although we still lack in our final third. James had a good game. Pleased to see Sanders fit enough for a few minutes. I feel he (and Galbraith) could link our midfield and our front line.
Let's now take the three points against Lincoln - which are rightly ours.

A decent game and I certainly can’t fault the effort against a better, more cohesive outfit . Unfortunately we didn’t help ourselves with a couple of very poor goals conceded. Clearly with the current group of players we are - more often than not- going to come up short against what might be classed as the bigger teams but at least we gave it a go and didn’t fall apart as against Pompey & Stevenage. Says a lot however that Wellens chose to bring on Galbraith, Pratley and Sanders and left Moncur warming the bench!

As comfortable a 3-2 victory as you would see..We huffed and puffed but the better team won so no complain from me..I reckon a good 50% of our passes went to them..

Maybe, but personally, chasing the game as we were Moncur would have been the more logical - attacking- option than Sanders or Pratley I would have thought? Just indicates Wellens’ level of confidence in him at this time I guess?

How is 8,614 a sell out? 8 times we beat that last season, including twice going over 8,700.
We've also gone over today's attendance twice this season.

That was poor. The record books will show that we narrowly lost a hotly contested match but in truth it would have been a travesty if we'd got anything from that.

And there a huge ladder between the two, but who knows how far he could climb. Done a few rungs this season.
