Someone has to say it... He's been looking a bit ordinary of late. If you agree, is it him or the lack of quality around him?

Funny you should say this fisch but I genuinely think the latter..He’s a good banana in a bad bad bunch..No one makes runs for him therefore he seems to run into blind alleys.I feel sorry for Idris..

He hasn't been a stand out as he was earlier in the season (and last, of course) but I reckon it's as much because of the lack of quality. He and Graham worked well together. and the absence of Archibald last night also made a difference.

One of the better players I thought last night. He was, alongside James. But I think the point being made is not saying he was bad but not as good as he has been. Or can be. The guy is a top class player and if we signed him on a contract It would be a great move. But he has lost a little of his edge of late and whilst he remains one of our better performers, he hasn’t reached the heights we know he is capable of. Perhaps his role in the team has changed. Or maybe the group are just going through a difficult period and it’s rubbing off on him. I’m sure he will be back to his excellent self soon.

I think he’s being asked to play a different role myself. Last season he sat in front of the defence this season Brown has taken on that role and Idris seems to have been moved to the left more which I believe has made him less effective. He is predominantly right footed and seems to slow things down when being forced wide left.
This year there seems more square pegs in round holes.

But if RW is trying something different then understandable. But don’t seem to be working if that’s the case.

It was frustrating watching him constantly manoeuvre the ball onto his right foot against Lincoln, when there was an easy pass available on his left. On the whole, he is a very good player, but he should work on his left foot as it would make him a far better player.

I found Id to be excellent last nite, the only one to make stuff happen He is obviously class and unaffordable to us . It seems to me like he is carrying a lot of this team and some of RWs lineups aren’t helping him .

Personally I thought El Miz was ok against Lincoln - certainly one of our better performers at least on the night. Tbh I don’t think playing beside Pratley helped him and alongside Galbraith or Sanders he might have been more effective.

Tbh I don’t think playing beside Pratley helped him and alongside Galbraith or Sanders he might have been more effective. He was OK for sure. Him and James can be satisfied with their performance. Though not up to his usual exceptional standards, but he was OK. Maybe let down by those around him. Hard to shine in a game like that.

My take on the last 4 games is how many times have we given the ball away Simple passes are too easily intercepted by the opposition We are just out muscled by the opposition in speed and thought

It seems to me like he is carrying a lot of this team and some of RWs lineups aren’t helping him . not quite true. We bod for him in the close season and wanted him as a permanent signing which would have cost us many hundreds of thousands. We had the money, we had the desire, we must have been able to also afford his salary etc. But Ipswich were not willing to sell him only to loan him. So he's not unfavorable just unavailable.
