Generally that's why clubs never broadcast who is injured or doubtfull. They will let them wait till the teamsheet is handed in at 1pm to see the line up which may disrupt their plans for the game. The darkside have said its not Dan it was Max, make of that what you will. Why do you call the other board the dark side??š too many idiots on there, its totally toxic, and every thread ends up in an argument. |

To be fair I started on that board and been on it since it started.I still go on there to have a look but hardly ever post.A couple of years ago I wrote an opinion,and the response I got back was āwell then youāre an idiotā I just left it at that..The majority are good posters on there but there are those who are out for an argument no matter what.Their opinion is always right..Some are picked on more than others..

I pulled out last week, the childish bickering among a minority raised questions from people within the club as to why I maintained a women's team thread there. It was proving to have a negative influence in what Larry and I are trying to achieve. I also got suckered into helping someone out who asked for advice, only to find it was a troll question. Who needs it? I am surprised the mods/admin allow it to continue when most of the regulars over there are as irritated by it as I am.

To be fair itās very active and some posters offer up sensible points that are well worth thinking about. And I have no issue with people putting their points in letās say an assertive way. But, alas, sensible and interesting threads invariably end up in a toxic slanging match. But it would be wrong to put all the contributors into the same category, they are not. Iād say the majority are just like us, wanting a sensible debate, dragged down by a vocal minority whose only wish is to be a smart-arsed wind up merchant. Thats when the toxicity kicks off. its got its place and I for one find it interesting. Long may both continue. |

I pulled out last week, the childish bickering among a minority raised questions from people within the club as to why I maintained a women's team thread there. It was proving to have a negative influence in what Larry and I are trying to achieve. I also got suckered into helping someone out who asked for advice, only to find it was a troll question. Who needs it? I am surprised the mods/admin allow it to continue when most of the regulars over there are as irritated by it as I am. The moderators in my opinion are the issue. In fact Iād go further and say they all too often pour petrol on the flames. Iāve had more than one run in with them (I really struggle to keep out of a good fight) ending up in bans and user name changes when they come off second best. one user name they forced onto me was āf*ck the poor and fatā. Still there today. Not a ban but not a username I was comfortable with or would ever use. Thatās what happens when they lose an argument! Eventually I rejoined and now use DOhnut like here. But donāt post very often. Maybe they are better these days, but I doubt it. |

Why do you call the other board the dark side??š Iāve always referred to the other place as the dark side. Actually I quite like it over there, itās very active and many discussions are very good. But too many seem to go the same way - good discussions deteriorate into personal slanging matches. Now Iām not averse to a bit of argy-bargy at all, no shrinking violet by any means. I grind away, a trait that has resulted in a few short bans and other not-very-nice actions by the moderators who use that weapon as a last resort when the strength their argument wavers. Bit like the kid taking their ball home if the game donāt go their way. I still read the forum quite regularly and post occasionally. It has its place for sure. Seems to me that ''The 'moderators'' on the ''dark side'' have their own favourites, some of whom get away with a lot. The present moderator is a bit better in that respect. Some on that forum ( no names mentioned ) are just out to argue and annoy and nothing else, sad individuals. |

I noticed tha Dan A was holding his hamstring after the final whistle, he didnt seem to be in any discomfort.
