Just started watching it down the Boozer. If a few more loyal die hard West Ham fans could be arsed to turn up to watch them the team would have more incentive to win. The stadium’s half empty.

All supporters have short memories on matches won and lost. He gave the Irons their first trophy in 50 years.

Would be funnier if it wasn't the Arsenal.
I live in Islington, their fans are dancing down the road like they just won the champions league,
They will bottle it eventually

I just don’t get this revelling in other teams misfortunes. Not their supporters fault they were handed the OS for next to nothing.

I just don’t get this revelling in other teams misfortunes. Not their supporters fault they were handed the OS for next to nothing. Exactly ! I worked for years with 2 dyed in the wool West Ham fans - one a season ticket holder whose son is in the Hammers youth system and the other a lovely guy sadly no longer with us. They always spoke kindly of the Orient.

Not at all, just not into this football ''Tribalism'' ! Football is "Tribalism" you can't get away from it Not to me it isn't. I support my own team but admire good teams and fine players of other teams. Who in the day, could not admire fine players from other teams such as Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst, Jimmy Greaves, Bobby Charlton, Denis Law, George Best to name but a few. Same goes for all sports, Cricket for example, I support England but enjoy watching fine players perform from other test teams the world over when they play against us. One in particular was the Australian leg spin bowler Shane Warne, a one off genius of a bowler indeed and a real pleasure it was to see him bowl !

Agree with the cricket comments. Rugby is the same.
Its easy for natural sporting rivalry to spill into tribalism and football, for reasons of history, class and religion, often magnifies this. However, the idea of hating on a team and set of fans, based on the colours that they wear is about as juvenile as it comes.
Friendly rivalry is the grown up way.

One must hold a grudge to be a football fan,its what makes a goal such a wonderful feeling.
