Good result, maybe the FA saw the referee (plus doughnuts) were wrong.
Now, how does a "crowd fund" start to pay towards the fine? I am sure 2400 fans would donate a quid.

Beans on toast for Richie’s missus and the kids. Bit of a result in a way, guess the FA took circumstances into account.

Really surprised about this. I can only imagine that the FA had some doubts about the referee’s decision being correct in the first place. Still, good news for the team that RW will be in situ this Saturday.

Perhaps they figure hitting him in the pocket will be more effective.

He pleaded guilty and was fined £2400. Hardly nothing. More impact than a touchline ban. He probably avoided worse by not contesting the charge, now he knows the laws, and making all the right noises when responding to the charge. Bet he won’t do it again. Lesson learned.

Happy for him to do it again, if he wants. Lets not try to castrate a winner.

Still, good news for the team that RW will be in situ this Saturday. £2400 isn’t suggesting doubt. They probably viewed it as a smaller transgression than the Bolton one, which it was, and adjusted the penalty accordingly. I think this is about right and the Bolton one a tad harsh. And of course we don’t know what the club said when responding to the charge. Sackcloth and ashes time, regrets accepted by the FA. Some good sense on display.

Happy for him to do it again, if he wants. Let’s not try to castrate a winner. I’m sure there are plenty of winners who don’t rack up 3 reds from the technical area in a season. He won’t do it again.

Obviously there are, but you dont ever seem to be happy with anything unless it takes your instruction, dressed as ‘advice’. Ritchie’s a winner. Leave him be.

The refs report would form part of the decision making process and he may have said in hindsight he should have issued him a yellow instead.

Of course he is a winner and I’ve never said anything different. Pleased to have him as manager and for a long time to come. Dont mean I have to like everything he does or agree with everything he says. Only lemmings do that. And that is not nor ever will be a description that will be aimed at me. You do your thing and I’ll do mine.

The refs report would form part of the decision making process and he may have said in hindsight he should have issued him a yellow instead. It is a red as I understand it. But like all things in life there are degrees and you could well be right in as much as the referee applied the letter of the law as he saw it but accepted that in this case the law maybe too harsh. I see this outcome as a victory for common sense. £2.4k is not a small fine by league 1 standards but a touchline ban being avoided shows mitigation. The referees judgement has been supported but the punishment appropriate for the offence. A good outcome all things considered.

Maybe it’s time to move on, you’ve made you point many times, you have raised some valid points and it’s probably best to close this particular one down.

He isnt the second coming but its his passion, that burning thing that only those that have it, get it and recognise it, that is the difference between him being average and being a winner and leader of men. I get it. I SEE it. I run businesses and have done for years. Some people wanna work for a firm and take no risks. Some of us burn for the risk. Its called passion, but then you probably wouldnt understand that sort of thing….

You clearly have no clue. The term used in my role was called intelligent risk taking, a mandatory part of my job and one that not only affected my life and career but the success or failure of hundreds of others. Pressure! Like you would not believe. Me, with my skills employment was never a problem but when it’s affecting the lives of others that’s something else. You haven’t got a clue so stop insulting me please.

If you sold everything you had, gave up everything you owned, lived in a bedsit and put it all in a business then you might understand.
