Redshank, we were terrific against Burnley and Ronnie Foster was absolutely superb , completely dominating midfield. I was behind the north end goal and can still recall their goal. They had a corner but instead of putting it into the 6 yard box they swung it wide to the edge of the penalty box and the onrushing player headed it home. If you think that was upsetting then our 1-0 defeat to port vale in the 6th round was even worse. The whole game was played in and around their penalty box we hit the woodwork several times and also should have had several clear penalties. They scored in a breakaway which was virtually their only attack. The dirtiest side I’ve seen at the orient and I still hate them.

Swo, yes I loved that royal blue shirt with the white shorts, evidently we changed to red to attract Arsenal supporters.

I'm not keen on us changing colours so much.wish we'd kept the white shirt and red v. It does cause confusion.great example the 1967 film robbery with the scene shot on the north terrace.we were playing Swindon and many forget we were all blue, and Swindon all red. Because we became all red at the start of the following season 67-68

Mine was relatively recent. A drab 0-0 against Hartlepool. Big Joe Widdowson smashed one of theirs in the middle of the park. Straight red.

Not sure who we were playing but I went with my uncle and his mates, I was 5 (47 now) and he was 25, for every pint he had, I had a coke, before during and after the game. I was violently sick and he got told off by my mum!

I recall terry Parmenter playing with thick sticking plaster on one of his boots. Either very poor or lucky boots like Billy's boots in the comic paper
