Incoming will be like a London Bus. Wait for ages then three come along all at once. The real question remains, how long is the wait and will the bus be the one that you want. Hornchurch friendly now 30 days away. The explosion of news on incoming will be breathtaking. Anticipation.

I more interested in hearing the rehabilitation status of our injured players - their success is as much critical as the news of potential signings

Theo was a massive loss, his work rate is unbelievable . On the issue of incoming transfers I would love us to sign the big black number 4 of fleetwood. He was everywhere and was winning tackles and bursting forward. The best opposing player I saw all season. I know he recently signed an extended contract but they have since been relegated.

Brendan Sarpong-Wiredu g.co/kgs/fqTvUPyHe did look good against us but maybe he was deemed a defensive midfielder and wasn't picked up when he came forward. Contracted to 2026 at Fleetwood.

Remember the sum of the 11 plus subs = a team. This will exceed any individual skill that all these players at other clubs equal if people think one or two new players are imperative alone. Running around athletic style creates a great image for us believing that they are enhancing the team output for success but I still believe a team is a team with many different individuals all with different strengths and of course weaknesses. Hence Moncur is one of my favourites as he has pure football skill and if possible I would make him captain and centre all the team around that core skill he has. Look at his statistics for the min he has been on the pitch - I know he could play 90 min given the opportunity. His goals and assists are first class given the restricted min he has played.

Dan Kemp signs for Stevenage. Good move for them but some way from the type of player I have come to associate with the club.
As for us, I wouldn’t be surprised if we had 2 or 3 already sorted awaiting the chance to announce. I think we only want 5 or 6 players in total. I’m sure we will be ready.

A hint of sarcasm methinks. Not at all (for once). I have little doubt our transfer committee have a number of irons in the fire with some being close to finalisation. My reason for believing this being RW who has been crystal clear about wanting to avoid a poor start to the season. If he cannot galvanise the committee into positive action, nothing will. So despite us seemingly not being very public in our dealings so rarely on the rumours sites, behind the scenes stacks of work is going on.

Lapslie is a decent player. Right age too.
I'd say this would be a good signing.

Know absolutely nothing about Tyreeq Bakinson. At 6'3" and playing for Charlton last season I'm sure I'd have noticed him playing against us. But I didn't.

Kenny Jackett signed some decent players for us, but letting Dan Kemp go was a real shame. I think he’d have done really well for us playing under Ritchie Wellens.
