Dan Kemp signs for Stevenage. Good move for them but some way from the type of player I have come to associate with the club. As for us, I wouldn’t be surprised if we had 2 or 3 already sorted awaiting the chance to announce. I think we only want 5 or 6 players in total. I’m sure we will be ready. Kenny Jackett signed some decent players for us, but letting Dan Kemp go was a real shame. I think he’d have done really well for us playing under Ritchie Wellens. I agree. Kemp is a decent player and I think would have done well under RW. Then many players do, well those that fit his style of play which is fair enough. I did wonder if we would consider him in this window but with Graham, O’Neill and Theo hopefully by December and perhaps an attacking wing back or two he would not be a regular starter. Wish him well - But not too well, especially against us. And I hope we finish above Stevenage. Love away games at their place, a fixture I always look out for

This rumour has been doing the rounds, don’t know if there is any truth in it but looking into it he could be a good loan deal. At 23 and with premier and Championship experience I do wonder whether league 1 would be a drop too far. On the other hand the offer of regular first team football could be tempting. Interesting.

Pre-season still 4 weeks away. 6 weeks to Spain. Far too soon to wondering about bringing in any of the 5/6 players Richie says he needs, plenty of time. But it’s nice we figure in rumours. A bit of interest in an otherwise slow football time. the window opens next week I believe and reading RW comments on the Spain trip I think and hope we will do our business early and have everyone on the plane. So how come Steve Evans at Rotherham has already signed players

He hasn't as the window doesn't open till mid month, the deals are done and they have just announced them. I think his strategy is to drum up support from the fans, but also shout out to players he is talking to to jump on board as well. Two pronged attack.

I wonder how many were free agents and those he paid money for?

I think there will be some very good free agents out there Happe (was) and Ruel for example.
The best of course will be in huge demand and not having a fee to pay make them even more attractive Rotherham have done some very good business but with £1m in the coffers from a sale they’d have an edge. They will be up there for sure.

With funds at his disposal the Millers could well be playoff contenders.

Where do you fellow forum users get your information on the players that are available, and what is the reason you think they could be good signings for the O's. One player I saw in 22-23 season frightened me every time he had the ball. That player is now ours though through a long injury has not played that much.We have probably one more season of that player. We see many excellent performances from away team players throughout the occasionally we see one who could do well for us,but it is only the one performance we make that judgement on.

Is this even a rumour though? The article doesn't say anything about him being linked or one party even expressing an interest in the other.
