It was good to see that thug, Roy Keane, standing alone, not celebrating England's win. What a miserable git he is, one of our home nations now in a European Final, When Ireland under Jack Charlton was doing well in the World Cup we rejoiced for them. Keane hang your head in shame, Why was he even asked to be a pundit, his answer to everything is violence. Had the English been subjected to centuries of oppression by the Irish, including starving a million people to death over seven years, then we probably wouldn't have been so enthused about the Ireland team in 94.

Nowadays, they can stop playing for Ireland and decide to play for England, like Declan Rice.

And we've been subjected to their bloody Leprechaun's ever since, so I reckon that's a draw

Never the English people oppressing the Irish, but the ruling classes. Get the common man to fight their wars, toil their fields and slave away in their factories, then sit back and enjoy the spoils.

Don’t really want to get into Ireland/England discussions. We know the history. Maybe more important to look at trade between the two countries now. For example Britain being the largest importer of Irelands food and drinks industry. In fact a major part of Irelands economy. Something that benefits both sides.
Let’s not forget the atrocities. But we need to focus on the now.

I see Starmer has reminded everyone of the US special relationship between UK and US. I wonder if the CIA are that enthused as having a Socialist Government in power. I wonder if they will be running security checks on the new MP's. Bearing in mind Labour's previous track record on which side of the iron curtain they support.

I've read some utter garbage on this forum but this is right up there. How is this a socialist government? If you'd ever lived under an actual socialist government you might know what socialism actually was rather than just a catch all term for anyone not as right wing as you

A fairly common position. Many people viewed Blair as a Right wing Tory for example. Just how it works and no ones view is necessarily wrong.

Do the British give back to the Irish all the potatoes they took That's insensitive at best. I would argue it's downright wrong to spout nonsense like that. A famine imposed by the ruling class of England over the people of Ireland should not be made a joke of. In fact if I was stood in front of you I would ask would you say it now. And if you did I'd leather you around the side of the head! Back to the topic, hard to see England overcoming Spain in the final but football is a funny game. If Spain can't score will they become frustrated? Leaving gaps for England to exploit and nick one on the break? As an Irish man I could never say I want England to win but in some senses if like to see it happen if only for Southgate. He's been ridiculed for years yet England are now in 2 Euro finals in a row. That's a great achievement in itself Hope to see a great game on Sunday and may the best team win.

Just because Starmer isnt a disciple of Deform or Braverman, doesnt make him a socialist, wherever you stand, unless you have an agenda.
