Where've you been Howling? Been quite ill since November and been off work since.Sadly. Looks like my job is in jeopardy. Welcome back ESI! You have been genuinely missed on here. So sorry to hear you haven’t been well. I hope you’re on the tracks back to recovery. Here’s a Brush Class 47 at Waterloo station to cheer you up!

Well that was poor and is it any wonder when Wokegate continues to play people out of position.
Palmer and Mainoo added some urgency to the play and we actually moved the ball quicker when they came on.
Connor Gallagher is a player I like and would sign him in the PL, but unfortunately he is not international standard and it showed last night badly.
Saka needs to be removed and put on the bench as he offers very little in this tournament. I'd have hooked off Bellingnham as well as it is just not working for him in either the previous game or last night.
I think off field issues have caught up with Walker as so far he has not played to his normal level ir standard. Why did we not bring a fit left back, Tripper is OK but you need natural lefties in the position he is being asked to play. It showd the folly of taking Shaw who is still not fit over a.n.other left back. Bad decision and it's costing us.
I'm starting to think Wokegate might have or might be losing the dressing room.
Big shout out to the fans who were there as they never shut up and backed the team all the way despite watching a pretty poor performance.
Now for the positives. We qualified unbeaten, topped the group and we look hard to score against. On to the next game, come on England.

The positive Thor is exactly right. The objective was to win the group and we did. Job done. Results over performance there in a nutshell. I’ll be happy if we bore our way to the final and win. Though unless we up our game that outcome is very unlikely. Stronger teams are more likely to score against us and we look poor in attack. Staggering given the players we have. Kane scoring for fun for his club. Foden 1 in 3 ratio for City, 1 in 10 for England. Telling, he has the quality but it’s going to waste .
A goal down and we are out.
Southgate needs to get a grip and start getting the best out of his players.

Well I backed England to win first half and England to have a shot (just a shot , not necessarily on target) in the first 10 min, both at even money. Surely we would have a shot, but no. We didn’t even have a worthwhile attack let alone a shot. We played what looked like walking football, with possession for possession sake fearful of giving the ball away when actually trying to create something. People criticise Harry Kane but what can he do when we are playing keep ball 50 yards from him. Both trippier and walker overlap and storm down the flanks when playing for their clubs but remain entrenched at the back playing keep ball. Bellingham had his worse game as did saka but I don’t blame them I blame the negative system. Palmer and gordon deserve a start . Really Foden was the only one trying to be positive and it was a dire watch.

After we all showered praise on him,Bellingham has gone cold. England just can't seem to break down massed defences and man marking. We've old timers and youngsters not ready and nothing in between.

It's not the players, it's what the players are being asked to do.

All these England whingers who support Arsenal and Man City should try supporting teams like Orient, Southend or Cheltenham then they'll have something to moan about
