Good question. Dont recall it being said. With the Hornchurch game being 9th July, a Tuesday, I’m guessing they get together the previous week for some light training. Week commencing 1st July.
I’d be interested if anyone knows too.
PS. Just read Exeter started preseason on 20th June. fixtures out shortly too. 26th June 9am. Season approaching. ⚽️⚽️⚽️

The reason I asked is I am trying to determine when the new signings and the players that may resign and integrate into the start - thus hopefully avoiding the lack of pre season training being mentioned during this season as a contributing reason for any injuries or fatigue or lack of performance.

I’m sure everyone will be in place before our Spain trip. Hopefully sooner. Can’t see the club repeating last season and our poor start. That cost us big time, that and the January window. Won’t happen again.

It seems to me that we already have a squad in waiting. With the return of Agjei, Graham, Happe and the addition of the midfielder who replaced El Mis we seem well set up in my opinion. Add to this maybe three decent loaners and we can compete well.
On the competing point, I believe that we may not achieve the 11th place we got last season because the league has a number of big hitters previously not there (eg: Brum, Rotherham, Wrexham). We also need to bare in mind the Five Year Plan.
15th is my prediction, but not much worry during the season about relegation.

Hope to hear Status Quo at the end of many more matches.Solstice over, the nights drawing in,those electric socks seem more and more needed. Wonder what the first match, last match and Boxing day fixtures will bring. All at home I hope.

But RW said 5/6 players so whilst it’s great some players are back we still lack the depth needed to compete over a season. We remain vulnerable to a repeat of last seasons injuries and without depth and a tougher league 1, reinforcements are vital. And let’s not hear repeats of the fatigued players mantra. I’m with RW. 5/6 players and a decent preseason. Let’s get it on.

True, but managers always want more. Five players have gone including loans plus 3 still to resign contracts. Plus a few who were not first team squad players. 5/6 is not unreasonable

Get 3 plus two loan youngsters who have excelled in recent years.

Get 3 plus two loan youngsters who have excelled in recent years. No problem with 3 plus 2. The real issue is with the get. Thereby is the issue. But I’m sure it will happen. Only us, Reading and Wrexham still to sign anyone according to the web. Reading can’t at the moment so we are neck and neck with Wrexham. The seasons excitement happening already. Mind you, don’t fancy our chances. Oops. Wrexham just signed a keeper. We have a winner! mind you with have signed a new sponsorship deal. Sort of counts! Lingy wins again. Speed of sound, Speed of light, Speed of Ling. Warp factor 9 or Ling factor 9. All good fun and beats the instant coffee jokes. But it will happen. I do wonder what Preseason RW wants us ready for, he is on a long contract. just joking.

Hope RW is not getting peed off again with all this delaying. We could end up with pigott and red rum up top first game

Hope RW is not getting peed off again with all this delaying. We could end up with pigott and red rum up top first game Who knows, Pigott may return to the great striker he was. Would be nice. I really rated him a few years ago. I keep toying with the idea of posting our squad for the coming season but won’t. I’ll wait until the incoming happens. And it will because it has too. We have some decent players but as it stands in a tough division I don’t fancy our chances over a season. A few injuries and we are screwed. Our back room staff is much stronger than the match day squad. I'm being optimistic that when players arrive they will be of a calibre able to contribute significantly and worth the wait. De javu. But we all knew that didn’t we.

With Jo Piggott at least we'd be at the races.

Well it's true some say Pigott hasn't been at the races so far and he'd only be a grand national league level striker, I am confident he can shake off the handicap chase on his back and beat the odds to be a top striker eventually
