So what should we do just sign anyone just so we have a big enough squad.Maybe Richie is prepared to wait for the players he wants maybe some of the players he wanted have chosen to go elsewhere.Other clubs have signed lots of players they may be decent on the other hand they maybe dross look at the clamber for us to sign Bonne last summer thank god we didn't he's completely finished as a player. As you say and I'm in agreement the players will come in and before the season starts. Why do we assume because other teams have been active they are signing dross? (We’ve had our share or haven’t you noticed). That frankly is an insult to the professionals at other clubs as well as being an excuse for us. You think we are special? Shock horror, we are not! We have experts at recruitment whilst other teams don’t? Reality check required, other teams are just as expert, just as selective, just as professional, just as good and want to get value for money. But they get on with it. We are traditional procrastinators. We know that. NT knows that. RW knows that. We all know that. But hey, let’s make excuses. It’s the Orient way. When will we be a team that doesnt dwell on excuses? Fact is many other teams have budgets, want value for money, want to recruit players that improve their squad. And get on with it. RW has been crystal clear. We are 5 player short - he said so. We need to avoid the risk of a poor start like last year by having a good preseason - he said so. We need to be quicker, NT said so. So why the mystery. The target has been set, by the club, and unless players come in in the next 24 hours we have failed our manager. Not rocket science. Still time! It may happen, hope it does. But we are now risking signing dross because we enter panic mode. Even Crawley have managed to sign a keeper quickly. Donut, you have made some excellent points this evening, particularly about this season 4 good teams will go down. It could easily be us in one of those 4 spots The way the clubs going, i can see a keeper being signed on the plane to Spain!!!

I desperately hope our squad is already good enough and importantly can cope with the busy times, like the first two months of the new season. But we need to take action and we are painfully slow. The risks of making a poor signing don’t reduce because we wait, and wait, and wait. Nor does the availability of good players increase. im frankly staggered that despite RW needs and NT comments we are here at the 11th hour hoping for decent new arrivals. What the F has the transfer committee been doing for the last 3 months? But that sadly is the norm. Feel for RW and the disruption to his family. He could do better.

Ruel Sotiriou has torn his hamstring and is doubtful to be fit before the season starts He's always been hit and miss when it comes to fitness and consistency so it's not that big of a shock. People are talking about him being our top goalscorer but that was more down to an injured Dan Agyei and an under preforming Pigott

Came through Posh Academy according to Posh Chairman.

One you could really call a sleeping giant. They may take time to get used to League 1 football,a big prize for any smaller team to beat.We did it a few times to the bigguns, sweet as.

He wasn't bad either, just a bad attitude when he left us. Much preferred our other keeper,it may have been Barnett. The play off final against Rotherham said it all about Jamie.

Prices are crazy !! Wigan have been offered £7million for defender Charlie Hughes by Hull. Made up of £4.5-5 million up front and the rest as add on bonus payments. They are having to offer this as he is under contract until June 2028. Seems that longer contracts definitely equal higher bids !! thedeck.news/hull-city-submit-7-million-offer-for-league-one-star/
