Has Shaq gone out on loan to another team or is he waiting to da dah!and have another year with us. Watford will want him in for preseason I'd imagine so as to take a closer look at him and then decide if he goes out again or stays and fights for a place. Personally I dont think he's ready for the championship just yet, another season in league 1 would do him good. I agree with you there Thor |

Being too lazy to investigate... Has young Perkins done anything of note in first team football? Is it a case of him showing a high degree of promise but, as yet, nothing much to show for it? No. Four adult games. About 19 less than Forde at this stage. |

No. Four adult games. About 19 less than Forde at this stage. Well he did score a stoppage time equaliser to keep Premier League Leeds in the FA Cup against Cardiff. Leeds manager at the time Jesse Marsch really liked him and was part of the reason Perkins chose Leeds over staying at West Ham and going down the loan route. Marsch left and Perkins gamble back fired, it's the whole reason Sonny now has such little first team experience. |

He has the credentials, played for England under 16 through to under 19, and West Ham didn’t want to lose him to Leeds. Ok he hasn’t played hardly any men’s football but Leeds haven’t released him they have loaned him.
Like everyone I haven’t seen him play but the clips show that he has skills , he in the interview said great to come back as a first team player so must be in contention.
I have good vibes about this signing and let’s face it he surely can’t be worse than that arsenal loanee .

More here from his Hammers days. As you say he has the skills. Just need someone with the skills to get the ball to him quickly.

I’ve been told that West Ham agreed a contract with that wonder kid everyone was raving about at the time, can’t remember his name, for an absolute fortune on par with top first team players.
Evidently young Perkins thought he was as good as him and demanded a similar contract.
West Ham disagreed but offered him a good deal, Perkins preferred to join Leeds.
Well that’s the story, right or wrong?
Seems he talks the talk, let’s see if he walks the walk .
