Just out of interest does anyone know what the cost to the club is for having a woman’s team ? Yes and no. The club are tight lipped about it but have managed to get the major sponsors to extend their programmes to include covering a significant part of the costs. Eastdil and Taylor Moore get a special mench here. The pitch hire, ground costs (3 venues probably), kit, refs and linos, occasional team bus, league fees plus plenty of extras when the women get to play at BR or take part in other events. Then add the costs of several coaches plus the female development officer, media team involvement isn't free. There are three womens' teams so my guess is "tens of thousands". We'll never know as real news and coverage is very hard to find. If only there was a group of dedicated followers who could make all this into interesting news - for free! |

Larry Peterson does all the games, live texting and takes the videos. Another chap who may ID himself (he posts on this board) looks after Instagram and related social media and marketing advice. Soon we'll be joined by 'Sally' who is keen photographer and will upgrade our graphics once the season gets under way. Far from alone but we'd also like to see some occasional match reporters come to the odd match and provide a more comprehensive report. Keep an eye on the website, we'll be running "this is us" editorials over the coming weeks. |
