Just back from the match. Yes disappointing to lose to a keeper error, but overall an OK performance with some improvement needed. Agyei doesn't look up to speed yet and there were some basic errors but Kelman was a positive. He will do well in this Wellens-ball iteration. The keeper is young and will hopefully grow as a person
Keep the faith and Uo the O's!

All in all a decent performance but aside from Hemmings nightmare a few things did stick out:
Kelman left us a boy and returned a man.
Sorry but Sweeney offers us absolutely nothing going forward in that wingback role, I thought Clare showed some promise and will improve his movement over time.
Zech will be Premier League quality once he fills out like Charlie has, right now he's still a little bit light weight.
We missed an strong presence in the middle with the loss of Idris, hopefully Warrington can be that man once he's up to speed.

Zech didn't do much, but I felt what he did do he did well. I think he would be better sitting alongside Brown as his ability to break up play is good and then the game is in front of him rather than around him as it was today.
Jayden I thought did OK, I say OK cause up to about 10 mins before he was subbed he didn't put a foot wrong and then he was caught / nieve in his play. I'd put that down to tiredness. I hope he can kick on as I do like him as a player, this season is a massive one for him to establish himself as a senior player.

Oberio is looking a starter and could be very good, needs bringing on carefully, still young. I thought Sweeney looked OK for 60 minutes then faded badly. Clare too looked decent despite that awful pass. Happe solid enough, Brown OK, Galbraith looks good and ONeill in patches OK. Set plays so much better too. Dont think it was a great performance, but OK.
lacking in the middle of the park and definitely not organised enough. Some real sloppy moments. Hemming has his bad game out of his system and will do better. I don’t think that is his normal standard.

I think Jayden is a decent LB but offers us nothing going forward in that Wing Back role and that's a problem if we stick to that tactic. |

Ok, positives Happe. Good game, Sweeney was excellent and won everything in the air until one error which let their man in on goal. Kellman carried on where he left off on fire in close season games, Clare was better than the 4 pre season games I saw.
People asked me prior to the game whether I thought the keeper was good and I replied that we have been so dominant in pre season that I have barely seen him make a save.
Well I can tell them now, in 74 years of supporting the orient I’ve seen some dodgy keepers but I honestly can’t recall one having as bad a 90 mins as him.
Dropped catches when nobody was around him, came for set pieces and not getting there , causing havoc with our defenders having no faith in him and gifting them 2 goals.
Howes had one bad game and was slated by all and sundry but he must be picked for Tuesday.
By contrast Boston’s keeper was pulling off world class saves and if the keepers were swapped we would have won 5-0.
I am absolutely gutted.

Keep the faith osoldest. Every player can have a bad game unfortunately if you are a GK it's usually more noticeable. I'm sure he will improve

But it wasn’t one mistake it was a whole catalog of fumbles. He dropped simple catches on 3 occasions, it was actually like watching an outfield player having to play in goal because of injury to the keeper………no, it was worse.

Yes to Kelman Had a cheeky each way bet on him being top scorer in this league I feel he will play every game and he looks sharp |

Just seen the second goal again he comes for if between players but it really should have been a routine catch into his chest.He will be disappointed as much as we are.Its worrying but let's give him a chance Nah bow locks I'm gonna crucify him, he deserves it big time |

No one seems to have mentioned the total absence of George Moncur from the match day squad. He can’t be fit enough yet and I’m talking to the standard that Richie wants. The shame is we needed him yesterday as we lacked an ability to keep and rotate the ball well enough in the final third. It’s up to him now, does he want it enough? I hope he does. |
