We have limited the opposition to just 3 efforts in the Bolton game, one that I recall in the charlton game , and 2 today yet we have conceded 5 goals and have lost all 3 games. we deserved at least 5 points and but for having the worse keeper I’ve seen at the orient we would have. richie says that Hemings should look at himself in the mirror , correct, but if he picks him again I suggest that he also looks at himself in the mirror.

What choices does RW have? Rule out the kids it’s Hemming or Howes. If Howes had shown in training any sort of potential he would have got his chance, certainly in the end of last season nothing games, but he didn’t. RW is Between a rock and a hard place. Go with a keeper who is never likely to make it or one with a decent record but struggling due to confidence being shot. what is a fault here is the system that has provided RW with the keepers we have, those are the people who should be taking a long hard look in the mirror, RW is just trying to pick up the pieces and fix things. And that applies not only to the keeper position. He is being let down, not for the first time. He is desperately trying to make the team believe they are fantastic. He is trying hard to boost the confidence of players, trying his best to suggest performances are better than they really are. His man-management skills are good and working overtime. Truth is we have played 3 good teams who themselves have not yet reached the potential they have and been quite poor, yet good enough to beat us. Not good.

This is an example of where having a resolute and firm approach can easily lapse into stubbornness. There is no doubt that Hemming has looked shaky from the outset and has cost us points. To bring in another goalkeeper now and send Hemming back as I’ve seen suggested on the “ other” forum would be a massive slap in the face for the transfer committee and , I suspect, something the transfer budget couldn’t handle. I would imagine that Sam Howes will get an opportunity on Tuesday at Millwall to give Hemming a rest but if he has a reshuffled defence in front of him how much will RW be able to learn from his performance?

Truth is red that Howes, good or bad, needs to get a shot. As a defender would I like Hemming behind me? Hell no. Just waiting for the next morale-crushing cock-up. Give Howes a chance in what is largely an unimportant game but one where our keeper will be tested.
Time to take a look, can’t be any worse.

The other forum seem to act as if we have played 43 games and are relegated. Completely absurd.

Bringing Hemmings in as the loan keeper has been a disaster. Time to give Howes a chance in goal and if he does ok against Millwall, then who knows what Richie will decide to do. The powers to be must be strong enough to send Hemmings back and look elsewhere or use the keepers already on the books, they surely cant do any worse.

I'm not so sure as you, that the wins will come soon, or at all. The team has spirit & fight, but is lacking in quality badly. We are much weaker than last season, in a division thats the strongest its ever been ( probably) We lost Ruel & Idris, & replaced Ruel with Perkins?, & we havent replaced Idris. We replaced Brynn with Hemming, who is a disaster of a keeper, & will cost us deeply this season Before a ball was kicked, i predicted we will be relegated......nothing thats happened in the first three games has made me change my mind. I simply cant think of four worse sides out there There's a week of the window to go, if we signed three or four DECENT quality signings in that time, i may change my opinion, but i doubt if more than one will come in, and i doubt if they'll be of the quality required Im not usually a pessimist, but the facts are so blindingly obvious, how can you realistically think anything else

No panic and I don't think we are that much worse than last season. We are lacking in one or two positions which we ought to try and rectify this week. I don't want to keep banging on about a defensive midfielder.
We replaced Ruel with Kelman, which is a significant upgrade. Perkins is this season's Forde, which so far is not, but early days.
We need full-back cover as well, especially while the jury is out on Sweeney. I thought James would be released at the end of last season.
I can't honestly see why we need another winger, unless Graham and Archibald are more seriously crocked than anyone is letting on.

Get a decent keeper and we will do ok. I also liked Ruel a lot but he was replaced by Kelman ( not by Perkins ) and Kelman has done well so far. El Miz is a big miss but hopefully the ever improving Brown and the emergence of Obiero can help to improve the midfield balance. It would be a bonus if we could get Forde back on another years loan. Long way to go yet !

I have had a very bad time since the end of last season and cannot get the break to put me on the better side of life. After yesterdays game my freedom pass cracked and was unable to use it,so I will Have to wait until Tuesday for the ten day wait for replacement and another £12.50 to pay.Not bothered about the pass or the money but it is the constant of things like that.Must be the first plastic card to have cracked.Leyton staff were helpful,Hainault staff nowhere in sight so I had to go through the double gates with a helpful young lady.

Now I have calmed down a tad,let us consider how the keeper feels, must be an awful feeling.I do feel for him and trust he gets out of this poor spell and shows real good form.

I get you red but he’s a professional..Some of his mistake are so basic..I’d go crazy if my Sunday League keeper did those errors..

Good goalkeepers used to be two a penny when they were just shot stoppers et-al,but now they have to play a bit as well it is not an easy fix as it used to be,What is more annoying is how good the other keepers are although we have been gifted a few goals by a keepers boo boo.

Choice of goalkeepers pretty much down to Simon Royce, as Wellens has previously admitted he knows nothing about them. Question is has Royce lost faith in Hemmings, or has he seen enough in training and whilst scouting him, to suggest this is out of character and that we will see a better performance going forward.
