Listened to the interview with Barnets manager. He pulls no punches.

Good interview and he has every right to spend 6 minutes moaning about those people that moan. Of course that will be, like all football clubs, not every supporter who turn up, pay their money and in fact support the club financially. I’m sure he’s been around long enough to know how it works. I’ve little doubt many supporters were going to the Hive before he arrived and will continue to do so long after he’s gone. But obviously some made comments that annoyed him and he has replied in kind. Fair play.
Criticsm should not be rejected out of hand if it is constructive. The benefits of this are huge and is covered on many management courses to improve growth and performance. Who knows if it was constructive?
Seems a likeable sort of guy and judging on results Barnet doing well. Got to admit I like the Hive as a ground.

It usually involves know nothing’s swearing and gesturing. Criticism is corrosive. Critiquing is an entirely different thing.

Why I said who knows if it was constructive. We only have his opinion on that
I take note of what we do as a club where moans about food, toilets and other matters have been taken on board by our management and resulted in improvement. Respect to our Board for being open and listening to the moans of fans. Rather than just dismissing them have listened and taken what action they can
Moans can and often do contain points of worth. Which is covered when doing management courses covering this stuff.
A client moaning about poor service for example needs to be taken seriously.

Winter coming up,very cold now for early Autumn, the worst government ever picking on the needy.A moan of reason is a worthy moan. I always liked Underhill and so easy to get to and park, the slope frightened a little when Barnet kicked that way,but when the O's did it looked so easy to score, but it wasn't.

I’d be surprised if he’s done himself any favours tbh. Criticising fans of the club you are managing and who pay money to follow the club rarely ends well .

I remember Chris Tate scoring an absolute corker of an overhead kick down there!!

I do believe they are trying to get back to Underhill. Is that right, wow. Been to both and I much prefer the Hive. From memory a bit of a walk from the station, the stands they have are modern and comfortable. Room to grow too.

I’d be surprised if he’s done himself any favours tbh. Criticising fans of the club you are managing and who pay money to follow the club rarely ends well . His emotions took over. Guess someone said something that annoyed him so he let rip. Shame in some ways, the people making remarks maybe deserved both barrels, maybe not, but his comments seemed aimed at the fan base as a whole, many who have taken the time and trouble to come along and pay their money to watch. Not the smartest way to deal with the issue but I suppose we all know what it’s like when emotions rule. But as manager, like it or not, he needs to moderate his actions and control his emotions.

In all my years of going to Orient, I've never once shouted at the manager, never shouted at a player either. I will cheer and shout them on, but never at them as its counter productive.

i will bloody moan if i remember correctly one of our non league seasons Barnet was first away game and the stands were not quite finished so only a small beer stand and a hot dog vendor were available under the stand. i have never had such an upset stomach in my life. myself and Mrs OSM at the time literally ran home from the station and made it to the comforts of home WC before disaster happened

I saw a you tube video in regard to this, they still see Underhill as the spiritual home of the club. They have a group who are committed to this.

Perhaps the Chancellor has worked out its cheaper to kill off the old and vulnerable than try and maintain their health by the struggling NHS.Just shows the disregard for people this Government has. Who in the main worked hard paid their tax and NI, before retirement. John Sullivan was right the elderly should have taken a leaf out of Dell boys book, Only Fools and Horses work.

Tbf the NHS does a pretty good job of killing off the old and vulnerable without any additional assistance!😕

Like wise neither have I, only once have I left a game early, home or away never boo'd the team, cried a few times yes, but still my club, my team, My Life, Orient till I die. By the way Mungo just noticed the crap monica you tagged on to me. Don't want it, don't like it, didn't ask for it, wtf wants to be associated with a crap good for nothing Kit Man. get rid asap please.

Some worked hard, some did as little as they could get away with. Most paid their taxes (paye) and some avoided it - the cash in hand brigade.
