Can someone tell me did Northampton deserve to win? Sometimes you lose to the better team.
Was that the case today?

If you fancy some good news, Bournemouth got automatic promotion from the same position (8 points from the first 11 games and no wins at home) in 2012/13. Your starter for ten. Which East London club did they beat at Dean Court in the next match to set up a fifteen match unbeaten run? Well done, that's correct. For a bonus point, when did they sack the manager and appoint Eddie Howe? Wasn't the manager one of their legends.

We've gone from a team that looked excellent at stockport and played really well against Wrexham and Peterborough to looking like a team that has had all the stuffing knocked out of it.We have what looks like a very strong defence but concede terrible goals against really poor teams.We can't score goals so it's hard to see where wins are going to come from so as much as I'm an optimist we are going to be in a relegation battle this season.Not good enough sort it out We looked good in spells. We have yet to play a good 90 minutes, arguably perhaps Stockport, all season. The last 20 against Wrexham we were hanging on and were on top against Posh in spells. A quarter of the season gone and we have managed 1 really decent game. We confuse possession for superiority, it’s not. Our key players are better than the results they produce. Just not working on the pitch. tbh right now I’m past caring. We talk the talk but don’t walk the walk and seriously risk going backwards after many good years. Our recruitment and system may have been ok by league 2 standards but at a higher level it’s proving just not good enough. We are a league 1 club with league 2 people managing our future progress.

Didn't think Northampton were very good. Created some half chances in the first half. We didn't create anything in the second half. The goal was really soft.

If they were I’d honestly say so..We just couldn’t capitalise on our intial dominance.We all knew what was going to happen..It’s the standard now

They were a poor team but deserved their win because we let them..And we didn’t turn up for the second half..They put their one chance away..Very poor showing by our mob..Once they scored that was it..Unfortunately

We are definitely in relegation form now, and the run goes back to March, so it isn't (just) the Summer transfer window.
The worst aspect of this is that the club is trying to find investment. Who is going to be interested if it looks as if we are going back to League 2?

It was sad to hear the booing at the end of the game.. Not altogether unexpected though mrb. Rightly or wrongly patience is starting to wear a bit thin. I won’t be at Tuesdays game but will watch it on Sky+ . A similar result won’t go down well with the fans at Brisbane Rd I should think.

It hurts to ask this, but has Richie peaked? The players don't seem to be able to play to cope with games in this league at the moment.

"We need to become a bit more basic," he said. I'm wondering if they know how to do that.

He has a great record in league 2 but a poor record in league 1. A worrying thing. I think back to the Davies time in the NL. His style of play had us near the foot of the table. JE came in a turned the same group of players into champions. The issue was not the players but how they were being asked to play. That is what I see today. Our core group of players (we have no depth) are as good as most that I’ve seen in league 1 but our style of play, whilst good in league 2, just don’t work against better players in league 1. RW sings the same tune all the time but nothing changes and we are surprised? Is he out of his depth? Are those on the transfer committee out of their depth? if players peak at a level, why not management. The Management team, coaches, need to get their ar5e in gear before we end up back in league 2 and waste all the hard work and finance invested by our owners. They are being let down right now. Us fans, we’ve seen it all before.

Us fans, we’ve seen it all before. I've got a feeling that they're doing all they can. The results are not fitting the talk. What happens next? A defeat at home to Rotherham is catastrophic in these circumstances (though I would quiver under kbola's judgemental eye for that suggestion). And who is the manager who may well orchestrate that defeat? These are not happy times.

I respect the club but no organisation is beyond being questioned ;
1. It is a combination of faults of the Directors mission statement or strategy’s over the last two years and : 2. There is something wrong in the mix of players and physical demands sought. 3. Some of the players unfortunately have made critical individual errors which resulted in nil points. 4. The ratio of budget and the number of employees on non playing staff is out of sync with the ratio of the playing budget. 5. The publicised comments on the expenditure for various consultants to review the following has not helped the playing investment on players a. The new ground possibility b. The initial new local training ground location and now improvements to existing training ground c. The local council seeking LOFC need to prove that the current location is not able to meet future needs. d. The expenditure to continually improve the ground owned by Hearns pension fund to improve the match days experience has financial implications 6.Too many loan players and what is noticeable is some players are in the team one week and then not even in the squad for the next week or weeks then they reappear 7.Paying of three players (or more) to go out on loan and then their replacements are not in some ways as suitable be it experience or at times fitness and match day ability ( not pure ability ).
