Go one down. Panic stations. Great.
Don’t play too quick. Don’t play too slow. If it’s not working keep doing the same. Play with more intent and purpose when a goal down. Got it. Clear as mud. Inspiring.
Fecking fatty Evans is going to do us again. That’s going to hurt.

Though when asked by you he got all defensive and rejected the idea. 😂😂😂 embarrassing for RW. We all know what we see, especially by those who are well versed in the pro game Thor. Like I posted at the time, home truths hurt at times when a good question is posed. 👍

For the first time Richie has recognised his demeanour whilst on the touch line. I think his persona on the touch line has an influence on the players and in my opinion more negative than positive. Wouldn’t swap him for another manager but at the same time I think his touchline manner could do with tweaking.

Obviously when you’re winning matches the chances of flying off the handle are greatly reduced. A bad run of results creates tensions and that shows up in games. RW’s personality traits are primarily under the spotlight now because of the run of results we are on. It’s fine to say you “ wouldn’t swap him for another manager” but his don’t expect his attitude to change - its part of his psyche and has brought him success in the past.

why we're not winning games is simple....we dont score goals
To score goals you need to make chances for the front men, & in turn those front men need to convert some of them.....we're doing neither
I cant see that changing, because we lack quality throughout the squad

''its part of his psyche and has brought him success in the past'' It has also brought him failure. For me he is too stubborn and very quick to blame his own players when things do go wrong. In life you have to learn to look in the mirror and take onboard your own mistakes and try to improve yourself. Hardly a relaxing type of manager to play under, he needs to chill out and change his set ways of playing and change around things that are not working out. Kelman as the one option up top for a start !

Just watched this video and ok talking but to me, why give any hints to the opposition as to what your tactics and planned way of playing will be for this forthcoming match ? Pre-warned is pre-armed !

Thors question got asked, he was named. The question prefixed by ‘I bet this question won’t get asked’ In my opinion a really good question, not welcomed by RW and dismissed out of hand. Have a listen and decide for yourself. Shame really because it was a question I really wanted his take on, he has said this before and since, we play too slow at times. And we all know we do. I’m no tactical expert, my views perhaps moulded by past times. So why do the players do it despite RW bringing this us as an issue before. This I feel is the crux! Are the players really listening to him. I suspect not. Sore point methinks.

But I badly want us to win this one for many reasons.

I see it from a different angle to you. As a player you want clear instructions, clear tactics, everyone knowing what jobs they have to do in the game, at corners, free kicks and so on. I'd have loved to play under him as he's a winner, sure he's probably exacting, but so he should be! I want to win, he wants to win, as a player and manager we are already on the same page before anything happens.

I don’t disagree at all. I’m simply pointing out that the current approach has brought RW success in the past. It’s reasonable to conclude is some players respond better to than others to it I guess?👍

All fair points den! As I said elsewhere individual players will respond differently to the approach. The secret is, knowing who needs the carrot and who the stick . You’re fond of quoting Brian Clough and I’m sure you’ll remember his very differing approaches to handling Peter Shilton and Trevor Francis. 👍

All very well but for one he is set in his tactics and unable or unwilling to change things around when things are going wrong game after game. He also has a blind spot in keeping Kelman up top as his main striker.
