f***ing hell, Terry Hall of the Specials has passed away aged 63 after a brief illness. The man was one of the sound tracks of my youth and life. I was privileged to see them perform at the 100 club and at Hyde Park. Proper sad news, a legend of music has gone way too soon. Mrs redshank was a regular at the 100 club till she met me.

The still lovely Jenny Agutter is seventy years young today. Always wanted to give her one for Christmas. Trouble was so did every other guy and they beet me to it every time It is the lovely voice that does it for me.Never lovelier than in Logans Run.

She lives literally 50 yards from my father in law. My old work partner who also done cabbing in Brentwood had her (not in that way) in his cab once. So I presume she lived somewhere around there. Top bird, right up there on my to do list.

Cadgwith, Cornwall. It’s a stunning location. She attracts me more than the location.

As the names trickle by on this thread, l get the feeling that everyone well known in my era will soon be gone and we will all be seen in the same way by the younger set as when we watch those old black & white film clips from 100 years ago. I grew up in a ten-house close in Loughton, the current residents know nothing about the families who were there when l was a kid. I guess l'm feeling a bit mortal.

"ten-house"? All I could come up with is a New York Fire Station, and I don't remember seeing one of those in Loughton.
Maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.
Edit: Just twigged, ten houses in a close. I'm a bit slow today, big dinner!

Was that in the Danbury Road area? Nearby, I grew up in Sutton Close, off Greensted Road, opposite White Bridge school. Are you from around there?
