A great player, great looks and great hair.Peter sat behind me and Mrs redshank at Wembley in the Trophy match. He asked if I recognised him,I said of course I do,still good looking and the great hair.Had a long chat with him and ,treasured the memory.Even more so now and I must say I am welling up writing this. Thank you so much Peter, joining a great bunch of Orient players up there.

Larry Lloyd has passed away aged 75. Larry was a huge man mountain of a centre half and his partnership with Burns was unreal when you look at what they did and achieved. Larry was what I would call a proper centre half, a stoper who played the game when men were men. He was a Forest legend and to have played under both Shankley at Liverpool and Clough at Forest tells you how good a player he was. That Forest side were special.

Sure I saw him at Highbury in a cup replay during the miners strike with a 2pm midweek kick off.Such a crowd on the North Bank it was very difficult to see at times. Upon reflection the match was against Deby County. So maybe not.

British actor Chance Perdomo has passed away aged 27 after a bike crash. He was recently in Gen Z who were preparing to start filming the 2nd season next week. A young and talented actor taken way too soon.

I have never stayed there. The Tropicana features prominently in the Ratpack era, and is a significant part of American history. I do want to comment that this announcement seals the deal for the Oakland Athletics as the new Major League Baseball stadium is for their relocation. Oakland is an American city in steep decline and has lost the Raiders of the NFL and now the A’s. Baseball has a history of owners relocating teams, and the A’s themselves relocated from Philadelphia as part of baseball’s western expansion. The teams made these decisions for financial reasons, but I can say with certainty that few American sports fans can ever feel totally confident in their loyalty to their professional clubs. Thank you A’s for Moneyball, but in the end the good ideas lost out to the massive money interests. Thanks for trying.

Nice one OSC. This is a difference between British and American sports, fans just won't and don't put up with clubs moving to new stadiums and away from their natural area. Clubs get new grounds all the time, but if you look at Wimbledon and their move to Milton Keynes that move is still felt today and it broke the fan base totally. In the end a new club was formed called AFC Wimbledon and they started at the very bottom of the pyramid (I think its 9 leagues down) and worked they way up and are now in league 2. The two clubs hate each other and it was so bad even though MK Don's are the original club (they even changed the name!) they gave AFC the FA Cup the club won to try to break ground I guess.
Moving to Vegas I guess will be a winner for the owners whilst the fans get royally shafted. What do those people do now? Find another team? Still follow them from afar or just forget MLB?

Ah Vegas! I liked to go there, l got married at the "Little Church of the Desert" in nineteen ninety something. I've forgotten the date but I'll never forget ol' wotsername.
I only ever saw one MLB game and that was at the Oakland A's, the stadium facilities put the UK footy stadiums (stadia?) to shame.

The Oakland fans are protesting at the move to LV by staying in the car park during matches.Fans of baseball are not turning up as they used to and a few franchises are losing money.

The world's oldest man Venezuelan Juan Vicente Perez Mora has passed away 2 months short of being 115 years old.
He put his old age down to hard work, going to bed early and carrying god in his heart.
What a life he's seen and been through.

But I still have the A’s green cap, though tend to wear it when painting. Like me, it’s looking a big ragged now.
