Why Brophy ain’t a LB. cost us big time. Lazy getting back, little defensive awareness, clumsy challenge. What a soft goal. Still, plenty of time. I’ve said it before ,he is a full back and he likes playing there. Played most of his games at other clubs in that position . He made a mistake ,it won’t be the first or last a defender makes !

Happy for DJ but Mansfield are challenging for everything and we don't have what it takes to overcome them.

That he’s played there before but not recently tells a story. That apart it’s not his best position and all that guff about it giving him room to go forward just ain’t working. His best position is further forward to start with. Wasted at LB. need an example of his forward play. Look at the equaliser. That is his strength, not at LB.

Agree Brophy offers more in a forward role but the trouble is neither Widdowson - nor it seems Ogie at the moment- are up to the task . Until then I suspect RE will stick with Brophy in the full back position.

I'm with maylandOs on this one but only because when James plays forward, all the other clubs know what he can do and negate him. At LB, he gets the odd chance to get forward and without a marker - as he did today.

Peter Kitchen telling it like it is. We were poor, Mansfield deserved it and we got lucky.
Too many people had poor games and didn't put the effort in.
He hasn't named names but is saying I think what most of us feel today.

Until then I suspect RE will stick with Broohy in the full back position. Widdowson is fine, just has his share of detractors. But competent at LB. Brophy at LB to be fair is adequate. Brophy in an attacking role offers options. Last ditch today, Brophy gets forward, we get a goal. At LB we concede a sloppy goal.

What an absolute kick in the knackers. thought we deserved that from the 2nd half.
Stupid tactics cost us. What the heck were we playing at in injury time. On balance probably a fair result that I would have taken pre match but still sickened by how it ended.
Good game. Now let's go to the William IV for a few pints.

I know both your goals seemed more about our terrible defending than your good play, but overall I'd say you looked a better team and I'd be gutted if I was you. For our part we looked half the team we were against Plymouth on Tuesday night. Seemed well off the pace today.

Always seems so much room for the opposition when they are attacking.A point gained rather than two lost.

At least we are scoring.Throw ins leave a lot to be desired, always seem to lose possession and the opposition carve out the chances from that loss. Watching it on tv is unbearable.. Usual poor ref
