I must admit I didn’t realise we had to forfeit the game! Seems unduly harsh tbh☹️

even though I work in the nhs im unsure how it works but I assume the players who have been in contact with the positives, even thought they are negative will have to isolate for 2 weeks ? what a nightmare

Covid, or the way society is dealing with it, looks like screwing up pretty much everything.
Closing the club for the duration seems to be the accepted way to deal with it but to be unable to earn a few bob from a once-in-a-generation tie with Spurs is most frustrating. If it is possible to put out a team of kids and play at their ground, let's do it. We may lose 25-0 but the bank balance will be a bit better for it.

I see Mansfield are looking to put in some sort of claim or appeal.

From my understanding the affected players would be required to quarantine for ten days meaning not only the cancellation of the Caraboo Cup tomorrow but the postponement of the weekend fixture as well.
This does not take into account any legal proceedings Orient’s recent opponents may take against the club.

I do hope that this isn’t a result of our players ignoring guidelines. Do we know how many have it and who they are?

I believe it is nine first team players including at least one goalkeeper.
Names are not being released
God bless them all

I do hope that this isn’t a result of our players ignoring guidelines. Do we know how many have it and who they are? I'm more near Anthea Turner's age so it's a lot easier to self isolate than when I was at a footballers age, when I was more out than in. When I was 19 I got chicken pox so I couldn't go out for 3 weeks, not only because I was infectious but because I was all spotty, with one particularly big spot on the end of my nose. I couldn't see my girlfriend, so none of that, no pub, it was a horrible 3 weeks. I used to sneak out (that's what it felt like) when it was dark, and drive around. I get annoyed like most of us do when we see youngsters carrying on as normal and flouting the rules but realise especially after 6 months that it's a huge ask for youngsters.
