Anybody else finding this increase in temperature uncomfortable when indoor training. Did an hour this afternoon, tough going. Bloody softies...Today will mark my 82nd consecutive Turbo Trainer session and the 215 miles I require for this month as the other 285 miles are coming from cycle commutes.
207 Miles Turbo Trainer (so far) and 190 Miles cycle commute with 5 commutes left this month.
Been doing the Turbo Trainer steadier, so I have something to play for at the end of the month.
Next month I have 17 or 18 cycle commutes...At least 17...More cycle commutes now as my leave is used up till October.
So 17x19 = 323 Miles needing 177 from Turbo Trainer.Next month.

Turbo Trainer suspended till 1st May 2021 after 83 consecutive days to allow my knee injury to recover. I had a spill in South London (on 24th April) foot slipped off of the pedal and off I went.Front wheel totalled. Managed to cycle to work still, but walking wasn't so easy...Had to isolate front brake. Can do maintenance on the turbo trainer and check the crashed bike over to see if it's okay.I had changed the pedals originally because the right-hand one was making funny noises.Originally I thought it was the bottom bracket.Perhaps there was some grease on the pedal...Minimal blood but badly bruised.Only one bloke saw me do my trick.

The important question is how is the bike? Seriously, get well soon. Is it on Strava, because if not it never happened 🤣 Rule 5 applies of course

All that cycling and working out you must look like Charles Hawtry in his prime.

Now what?
Chain was jumping...Found jockey wheels to be worn out...Bike so corroded in places it's the end for it...Now debating what to do next.
Still it has been on there for three and a half years and the maintenance has been minimal.
Whether to use the 2006 Audax or the crashed fixie I don't know yet...
So no turbo training UFN.

Thought cycling was supposed to be good for you! Take care. Get back in the saddle as they say.

I cycled the next day, but walking was harder...Also did Turbo Trainer same day of the accident but suspended it after that...Now got to fix up maybe the fixed wheel bike and see how that is on the turbo trainer....as I've scrapped the corroded Turbo Trainer bike...

I think this cycling lark would be great if I did not have a car.

Great session on new Turbo Trainer fixie.Riding position is so comfortable and upright.Drop bars reversed and upwards. No brake levers in the way or gear changers....Chain so smooth. Odometers adjusted from 210 cm per wheel revolution to 200 cm per wheel revolution. First ride average was 17.7, and now it's 17 miles per hour average.(Due to adjustment) 30 miles done in 3 days... At the end I was out of breath and heart rate was up to 162bpm after 35 minutes...
160bpm was generally the highest I've seen it at.
The real test of what good it is doing will be when I'm out on the fixie cycle commuting.

I did try to swap a camera for a bike when I was younger, but the parents weren't having it...

Awful tonight...managed to get nine miles in (in 36 mins) but really didn't break 15mph and so out of breath.Heart Rate at 150bpm mainly...Was out of breath especially at the start. After the last three days that was a bit of a surprise.
UPDATE NEXT DAY...
Same again...Then found out why...Resistance set to 5 of 6 being highest....Should be 3 as 5 trashes tyres...
I was faffing about with the resistance I remember, but the dial numbers are the same colour (black) as the dial itself.
So all back to normal again.Happy days.

I've been cycle commuting. And occasionally on the spin bike in-between days.
My knee hasn't flared up for a while now. Even tempted to go for a run.
