Can’t believe ‘breakdancing’ is a sport for Paris in three years!
Hopefully our rowers will have got their act together by then.

Maybe France has got some gold winning breakdancers. Did we bring in any bankers in 2012, I can't remember.
I used to play kerbsie, I wouldn't mind seeing that. They'd have to bring in interrupting cars though to make it real.

I’m not a fan of performance related funding or even pay as it is rarely handled fairly and can lead to conflict and can cause all kinds of physical and mental health problems for those involved but this is a fairly accurate report of TeamGB’s funding. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/58112331The rowers and cyclists were expected not to do so well this Olympics but if I was in rowing I’d be be very worried.

Happening at last it seems. Got to admit I have huge sympathy for Japan. The worlds most prestigious sporting event, costing millions. Great way to advertise all that is good about your country, put on a show. Be in the world spotlight. Reduced to 17 days of events without fans, hotels without visitors, an opportunity gone. I don’t even know who from team GB is taking part. It has the opportunity to be the most expensive non-event in sporting history. Sad. I won’t be applauding any Chinese winners. Seems like you miss read the whole event Doh! It was a good games with some outstanding feets in it especially considering no supporters were present. You also know that we are the first country to have improved or bettered their own home Olympics not once but in two following Olympics. You'll also know we are the only country to have won a gold medal at every Olympics. Well done to all our team, coaches and all the wonderful support team who have achieved massively this games. You are all a credit to this great country. Such a non event Doh! Maybe I'll miss the ext one? Not!!!!

I did feel sorry for that french bloke in the ring but he was warned about it before being disqualified.
As for the sailing, tough titty.
Vive Grande Bretagne.

Japan did the best they could. But like all sporting occasions, missing fans loses atmosphere. The athletes put on some great performances. But it still was not all it could be. Im sure most of us are aware of the stats, or should be. GB performed way better than my expectations

Same here, I thought London and Rio would be our pinnacle and Tokyo would be a big tailing down. Less golds in Tokyo but with continued lottery funding it's looking good for the future.
Some people say it's throwing money away doing the lottery, but it's not really, is it. My brother must of paid for at least one of those LOTUS bikes by now.

Oops, a British athlete who won a Silver in the 4 x 100 metres relay has tested positive for a banned substance. I doubt it was an intentional enhancing drug, as far as I know all medal winners would have to have been tested straight after their event, and they know that. Red Bull is OK, I've checked.

Who said it’s red bull or is that a joke? The press are reporting this. The AIU said they were looking into the presence in the 27-year-old’s sample of the anabolic aid Ostarine and S-23, which aids muscle building. This sounds bad to me.

Not a joke, I just wondered if Red Bull was banned in the Olympics, so I looked it up, and it's not. Just a bit of info.
I thought top athletes in Britain got a random 6 am drug test every so often.
I'm not saying he knew but if he did maybe he thought it was out of his system.

Sounds like the other lads will lose their silvers too. Tough luck for them.
They always have excuses these positive ones, don’t they..
