There's a bit on Charlton here about the new new owners. Who have based themselves in Grand Cayman anonymously and their 'Registered Office' is a yacht. pca.st/episode/03791aa0-1a8c-41e6-92bf-455e9688e16aCharlton have been here before with ownership issues so it could all just amount to be promises from liars. Tread carefully Lawrence.

If Vigs does leave and some others do as well, I wonder to what extent that will disrupt the 'special' team togetherness spirit that was evident last season.

Don’t understand the concern. Charlton finished 10th or so in league 1 with a large capacity modern ground and attendance twice ours.
So they have new owners. So did we 6 years ago and that ended well
They are bigger, better supported and have better prospects being able to afford better quality players.

As Doh said. It isn't really a big issue.
I like Vigouroux and he's a top keeper. But he was part of a rock solid defence for the last two years (even under KJ we didn't get spanked at all) and that has helped his cause. I'm sure he'd be the first to acknowledge that too.
He's just a part in the wheel that I wish we could keep but if it turns out that we can't, we look elsewhere.

Maybe that was the way RW encouraged the team and promoted the importance of unity in the way ahead, also noticed by those that came on loan and enjoyed what they saw and gave their all for the cause. All making lifelong friends along the way.

Really not too bothered by Vigs departure. And while I'd prefer to keep a couple of the others that we're waiting on, if they do find themselves new clubs I won't lose any sleep.

They'll be a good bit of coming and going i believe before the start of the season i won't get too disappointed or excited until we see where we are come opening day of the season.RW is an excellent manager and will know exactly the type of players we'll need to be competitive this season. Its been said he'll be given a competitive budget and Orient are now an attractive option for players either to join permanently or on loan and I'm sure we'll be ok

Vigs is a decent keeper, but his defence makes it easier for him. There will be a replacement out there if he goes.

Orient will recover in terms of a replacement. Take Morris he was deemed not good enough at Orient ages ago but look at what he has achieved at Crawley and Gillingham and he is now a veteran. Some goalkeepers out there available to be signed will be in the same category ie deemed not good enough at their existing club but actually in a new environment flourish. Since 1960 I have seen loads of goalies at orient and the club still functions - whoever is there. I have been impressed with Morris' career. Even his kicking has improved.

If any of this is true then it's likely that Vigs will be talking to ML/RW along the lines of "I really enjoy it here but I have these other much bigger offers......"
Probably a daft question but didn't Burnley have about £90M in debts a few months ago?

If an opportunity is there to go Premier League even if he's unlikely to play, then you'd be looking upwards of about £20k a week.
Go with our blessings Lawrence. That would be a life changing transfer for him and his family.

According to "News Now Football".... "Burnley already have an incoming goalkeeper also, as they look set to complete the signing of three time Leyton Orient Player of the Year Laurence Vigouroux."

Vigs to Charlton, not that bothered really. If they've got a narrower pitch to us, they're in trouble. If it's wider he could be a good signing. I remember somewhere from the back of my brain that in the long past before the new stands Brisbane Road held the record for the widest pitch and the largest communal bath in league football. The Orient pitch is currently 80 yards wide whilst Charltons is only 73 yards wide. Just an update to my previous post . Turns out that the 0’s still have the largest pitch out of all the English professional clubs ground ! With thanks to the fun trivia website. “The largest pitch in the English Football League (72 clubs) is Leyton Orient at 9200 sq yds and the smallest is Crewe Alexandra and Wigan Athletic at 6600 sq yds.” 115 x 80 9200 Leyton Orient 115 x 78 8970 Nottingham Forest 117 x 76 8892 Leeds United 115 x 77 8855 Shrewsbury Town 114 x 77 8778 Port Vale 115 x 76 8740 Blackburn Rovers, Huddersfield Town 112 x 78 8736 Oxford United 113 x 77 8701 Hartlepool United 114 x 76 8664 Rochdale, Notts County 115 x 75 8625 Birmingham City, Brighton & Hove Albion, Bristol City, Sheffield Wednesday, Wycombe Wanderers
