I'm guessing this was called off yesterday? The only games going on where I live were 4g pitches. Still it let me get out to the garden to do some jet washing and repairs to ballastrades and a gate which suffered in the high winds recently. It was called off thor…Waterlogged pitch

Sorry guys, I put up a notice about the postponement at about 15 different social sites where we normally post - but I missed this one. Put it down to age ... please.

Fisch, I was at Boxpark Wembley recently to see the gloves are off for Buatsi v Azeez as it was the first one ever done live. Apart from speaking to some absolute legends of the fight game it was a fun time. However, I was surprised by the YouTubers namely IFL which is probably the biggest boxing YouTube channel out there and they were using an SLR camera to video the interviews. I was really surprised by that as I’d have thought they’d use smaller versions of what a proper journalist / cameraman would use. Maybe that’s an avenue to explore for LarryO? If you go to IFL on YouTube you can see the quality of the camera, check it out and see what you think.
As for the website it’s looking better all the time, so credit to you and anyone who is helping you to get this far. The player pictures are better than they were and everyone seems to be covered, maybe to move it on to the next level, what if you click the picture and it takes you to a little bio of them, maybe some stats like games played, goals, assists or suchlike details? Just an idea.

Thanks for this Thor, I see you're well aware of all the sodding about that needs to happen just to get something "in the can". I used a Canon EOS5D Mk3 when I was doing real estate work, the large format and high lens speed made video work indoors so much better. I gave that up because it weighed a ton sat on top of a DJI gimbal and it had no auto focus. I bought a "DJI pocket 2" and it is a revelation so, I agree, those little jobbies with built in stabilisers are the way to go. Larry has a mega iPhone of some kind which he needs in order to store a gazilian Gbytes of video. He's looking for an anti-wind noise attachment for it. It's quite strange because we work well together but we've never met. Strange new world eh? As for the coding, I am an amateur but I do write everything and it is a learning journey, the formatting language, CSS, changes by the week it seems. I saw what the club do with links from the photos and it is a good idea, my problem is that I'm spending 40 hours a week on it and that has to stop. I'm focussed on making everything super-slick right now so that I can add text and images without loads of tippy tappy (like our defenders), the video editing thing is a steep curve too. I like to think I'll get it all off pat sooner or later. The toughest thing is that I'm not allowed to talk to any staff members .. about anything. Kinda disappointing that!

It's Thursday - so it's Match preview day at lofcwomen.com
It's also Déjà vu all over again (?) in that we were supposed to be playing 'Comets' in a top-of-the-table "sort it out" clash which would probably go some way to deciding our fate. Win and we're back to joint favourites (ish), lose and the mountain climb to promotion would be enormous. However, that's not going to happen, Comets have cup obligations so a re-run of last weeks' postponed league game against Regents Park Rangers has been arranged for this coming Sunday. Say hello to the new preview, it's just like the old preview! See you at Buckhurst Hill on Sunday.

Plan A: Play Regents Park Rangers at Buckhurst Hill - that game couldn't be completed after a lengthy hold up due to injury and was abandoned. Plan B: Play Regents Park Rangers at Buckhurst Hill - last Sunday. The pitch at Buckhurst Hill just wouldn't dry out, game postponed. Plan C: Play Regents Park Rangers at Buckhurst Hill - This Sunday. It seems the pitch is still in poor nick, so... Plan D: This Sunday's (tomorrow 25/2) game at the Peter May Sports Centre, near the Crooked Billet roundabout in Walthamstow. We assume the ground at Buckhurst Hill remains in an unplayable condition. The LOFC official 'X' channel says the kick-off will be at 3 pm. That's unusual but perhaps there are already games playing in mid morning and that's the earliest the pitch is available. We understand it is a synthetic surface, that'll be better than trying to play out from the back on a ploughed quagmire. If the game goes ahead, our man Larry will be there to report live and record some video highlights which we'll publish on Monday ... probably. Tomorrow's live-update page will be posted later today to lofcwomen.com/items/240225.html

171 people followed our live text service. Our best yet. The page refreshes itself every minute so we don't get misleading repeating followers. We won't challenge Taylor Swift but it is encouraging.

It's Thursday - that means match preview time and other news on lofcwomen.com
Sunday's senior match is a third round League Cup tie away at Hammersmith - who beat us 2:1 in the league two weeks ago - that hurt! Here's our chance to put the record straight.
Saturday's game at Loughton sees the under-eighteen girls play arch rivals Kings Hill. We are P7 W7, they are P7 W6 - Only the O's teens have beaten them this season in the Junior Premier League (JPL).

I must admit, I'm struggling to prevent the press releases from being overly wordy, they tend to get a bit dry and too long. I've downloaded Chat GBT, my daughter tells me it is excellent to cutting essays back to the minimum - and "I'm thrilled to announce and exciting new collaboration" with AI in an attempt to attenuate my circumlocutory methodology.

This happens to be my job 😁 Good to know Dubious, cheers. I'm working on ChatGPT re-writes at the moment and there is promise there. Currently, Instagram seems to have a mind of its own which I can't get to grips with. Are you 'Content' person?
