Not directly connected to Orient but it's noteworthy that Chelsea women beat Arsenal 3:1 tonight in a WSL game - in front of a gate of over 32,000.

Today's match is off. We understand as a result of a pitch inspection.
Some you win... but not today.

Some you win... but not today. Not surprised I'm spoilt here, 🌞 wall to wall 😁. Mind you, l understood the Accies play on Astroturf, so maybe there's more to the story.

Our home ground (youth) had games on in the morning then off in the afternoon as the pitches were in some state. My team was at our second ground on our 2nd 4g and even that was holding water. The ball was rolling without hindrance so we were OK, but again we've had so much rain its unreal.
I had to go to Walthamstow this afternoon and as I drove past the club the Spurs ladies had just finished and people were swarming out the ground. Spurs had their team bus there and I was like wow, that's proper for the women to use.

Our girls lost today at Headstone Manor 3:1. The season is not lost but the title is probably out of reach now. Orient Outlook will give an audio report at the end of tonight's podcast, a full report and a few video clips will follow on lofcwomen.com tomorrow (Monday) evening.

So Headstone are our bogey team 😒 They are indeed. Third from bottom and do the double over us. Leyton Orient women travelled to Harrow to face GLWFL rivals Headstone Manor in a Premier division league match. The Os went ahead just after half time with a goal from Liliana Almeida but despite some heroics from keeper Lola Duroyaiye, three 2nd half goals from Stones' top scorer Aimee Shaw saw the home side take the three points. For more details about this match and the Orient women's side generally, go to lofcwomen.com (full report will be posted later today) Here are Larry's video clips from the game:-

Pitch doesn't look too good, grass is too long for a start! Still my kids team had a similar state pitch yesterday with long grass all over and I asked why it hadn't been cut or lined and was told its been too wet to get the machines on it.
Shame they lost, but it's a learning curve you have to play on all surfaces good and bad and some days it's just doesn't go your way.

Meanwhile, moving along nicely under the radar, The O's under-18 girls team won their 9th league game of the season on Saturday beating Haywards Heath 1:0.
There's a couple of links to the results and league table pages on the latest card at lofcwomen.com
We can't tell you any more as the coaches and players are instructed to talk only to the LOFC media team... despite not a single word having been published about the stunning work the U18 girls have done this year. They've played 9, won 9. in the league for 'elite' standard youngsters.

It's Thursday, so it's match previews day.
The senior women are clinging on to the their title hopes and will travel to the south London hot shots of Tooting Bec, both clubs need the win to stay in touch with the leaders. Meanwhile, the under-18 girls, riding the wave of playing nine games and having scored nine wins, travel to high ranking women's football club Chatham Town. Despite their 100% record so far, there are two other sides breathing down the necks of the O's youth starlets so every game is a potential banana skin. See our new (even faster the before) web page at lofcwomen.com or go direct to the match previews page at lofcwomen.com/items/240328.html
Tooting Bec, who beat Headstone Manor 8:0 four weeks ago, Headstone beat us last Sunday. Hmmm!

You've changed the picture! The folks at Tooting said this one was the most recent and would l mind if..... 🙂. Funny thing, we have great relationships with the other teams in our league, they like the previews, reports and videos. They mostly send us team sheets and a few words to add to our stuff. Most of our followers are players from the other clubs.

Following yesterday's (Saturday 30th Match) under-18 girls league match in the Junior Premier league, we can report that our ladies youth side dropped their first points of the season by being held to a 2:2 draw at Chatham Town. They are still top having played 10, won 9 and drawn 1 but nemesis Kings Hill are a close second having played 9, won 8 and lost 1. If we get details of the game we will of course add it to the website (and here) so check back for that. In the meantime, the Under eighteen girls Fixtures and Results page has been updated as have the Current standings on the league table.
Today (Sunday 31st march) see the senior women travel to south London for an important Premier league match against the high-scoring Tooting Bec. Our own Larry Peterson will be there, camera in hand, and he will be sending a non-stop barrage of updates back here to the bunker which will uploaded immediately to our LIVE UPDATES page. Coverage starts at 2pm.
It's yet another "must not lose" game for the championship hopefuls.
