We have comments from a dozen or more people who were at the Women's cup match against Cheshunt at Brisbane Road yesterday, mostly gleaned from 'X' (was Twitter) but if, like me, you just want to see simple content in one place, here it is... LOFCWomen.com
We have all the cup match results from the other teams in our division who, like us, each played opponents from a different regional league and did very well, It's beginning to look like the Premier division of the Greater London Women's Football League is a very competitive place to play your football - which is nice to know but it does make it very difficult to get promoted out of it. The next round of the Women's FA cup takes up the M1 to Biggleswade Utd who play in the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Women's Football League. Once again we'll be entering unknown territory ability-wise so we'll have to see how we get on on October 1st. We have new pics (thanks to @lofcwomen) of hat-trick hero Leanne Bates and of Madeline Wright who came on as a late sub and hit a worldie into the top corner and put the tie beyond much doubt. Click the link above for details.

The official gate for Sunday's FA Cup (1st preliminary round) victory over Cheshunt at Brisbane Road was 358. As far as I can tell, the biggest gate in the entire competition.
"From little acorns" and all that.

Club cameraman Simon O'Connor was on hand at Brisbane Road to record a gallery of images from last Sunday's historic women's FA Cup match victory against Cheshunt. Located on the LOFC official website, it looks like it was a great day for all. I never got to play at such a venue ... not that I'm envious or nuffink.. Nooo Match gallery - Leyton Orient 4-2 Cheshunt

Here's a preview of the women's premier league match this coming Sunday away at Regent's Park Rangers. We managed to track down 'Vijay', the club's founder in 2004 and get the low-down on his Rangers. He tells us about how difficult it is to recruit almost an entirely new team because so many people moved on or moved away. We also learn that one of our stars is a former Ranger and, depending on the team selection, will be facing her old club. Read about this, Rangers' "internationals", long-throw specialist, team photo and more at lofcwomen.com

Last season's top scorer in the O's women's championship winning side, Jordan Feldman, has missed the opening games of this season due to injury but has advised lofcwomen.com that she's now over that and is available for the squad. With Leanne Bates already on 4 goals in two matches and new-recruit Madeline Wright hitting a top-corner screamer on her Orient debut as a 2nd half sub, the team can now boast arguably it has the strongest forward line we've seen. Competition for places will be keener than ever.

When I watched the team play Luton she was our best player by far. She's decent.

Match Day: Regent's Park Rangers -v- Leyton Orient
Kick off is at 2pm. The game takes place at Rangers' home ground at Barn Elms Sports centre located on the opposite side of the Thames to Fulham's Craven Cottage. Here's a google.com/maps link if you would like to go along and support our ladies. This is the 2nd league match of the season in the Greater London Women's Football League (GLWFL) Premier Division. Regent's Park went down 2-0 to last year's runners-up 'Comets' in the season's opening round whilst we scored a 2-0 home win against Richmond and Kew. We hope to bring you the team sheet later today. That and all the latest news will be posted 'live' on lofcwomen.com

Match Day: Regent's Park Rangers -v- Leyton OrientKick off is at 2pm. Today's team line-up sees a strong squad and a very strong bench. No sign of Jordan Feldman yet as she makes her return from injury nor latest recruit Madeline Wright. Frankly, all the players on the bench are of starting eleven standard. There appears to be no sub keeper. No 1 keeper Lola Durojaiye features on this week's team sheet.

It's Thursday! Time for a preview of the next match. The O's women's team welcome GLWFL Premier division rivals Headstone Manor to the Myrak ground at Buckhurst Hill this Sunday 24th September 2023, this will be the third match in the current season for both sides. It is true to say that these teams have had very different starts to the season with Orient having won their two opening league games whilst Headstone lost theirs. However, the Women's FA Cup saw both clubs moving into the 2nd qualifying round with wins over Cheshunt (2-0 by the Os) and a 1-0 victory by Headstone over Tilehurst Panthers, their goal being scored by star player Bekah Higgins. We'll need to look out for her free kicks anywhere around the penalty area. For all the inside info about Headstone Manor and a look at Sunday's fixtures in view of the current standings and a number of photos: Head over to LOFC WOMEN.com

It is a great delight to announce that lofcwomen.com is the new kit sponsor of the women's senior team No 1 goalkeeper LOLA DUROJAIYE for the 2023/24 season! This modest sponsorship is aimed to support the development of women's football in East London and support LOFCW's ambitions of climbing up the football league system! Being based abroad means there's no in-stadium income from me so this seemed a good way to get involved at a level suitable for what this website is aiming to achieve. Lola is a long-standing servant of the LOFC Women's team and we hope this programme will go a little way to confirm her importance to the team and the club in general.

Hey.. does this need to be pinned to the top of the forum? Maybe given its own section? Let me know if I can help Anything you can do to spread the word will always be welcome. I was thinking we, as a forum, could kit sponsor another player. What a win-win that would be. I'd contribute to that.
