Today we have a slide-show using photos from LarryO who went along yesterday to the ground belonging to Roding Valley High School (near Loughton Central Line) to get some pics of the women players doing their stuff. Although unconfirmed, it appears the pitch at Buckhurst Hill FC remains unusable which, in view of the wet weather and its location on the flood plain of the river Roding, it's always going to be a problem. South West Essex clay soil doesn't exactly lend itself to drainage either. Here's a link to the Leyton Orient vs London Academicals slide show
More news about the importance of the three points gained on Sunday in terms of the league and how some of the top teams have slipped up. It's shaping up to be a battle royal. All the details at lofcwomen.com

The folks at London Academicals ("Accies") have been in touch ahead of Sunday's Capital Cup match at their place. The teams met last Sunday in the GLWFL Premiership game which saw the O's women run out 2:1 winners in a tight contest in Loughton. In view of the close nature of the game, both teams will believe they have what it takes to progress to the next round of the Capital Cup competition. A tight tussle in prospect! To see how the Accies people see this Sunday's match, go to.... lofcwomen.com

OK, so the O's game against Port Vale has been postponed ... so why not take a look at two premiership teams going at it in the Cup? That's Greater London Women's Football League Premiership and the 'cup' is the London Capital Cup for women. The same two sides who fought out a classic battle in the league last week, Leyton Orient and London Academicals (the University team from UCL) which ended in a close 2:1 win for the Os, meet again this Sunday in London's top cup competition for women, the Capital Cup. Frankly, we had no idea that a team from University College - London (UCL) played so close - in Walthamstow! So get your live footy action on Sunday at the Douglas Eyre Sports centre, a few minutes' walk from St James Street station. Kick off is at 2pm, get yourself along there and give the girls some proper Orient support and show these posh legal graduate types who's the boss when it comes to football. Here's a map... If you do go, don't forget to send us any photos you take plus your views on the game. Let's show the women's team there's interest in them! Contact us on info@lofcwomen.com

Today at lofcwomen.com we have a match report from Sunday's cup victory over London Academicals plus a few extra bits and pieces. We've bowed to the Google bully boys and have now re-written most of the website in order for them to recognise us. It's very important to get some feedback from as many people as possible please, there are just so may phones, desktops, smart TVs, laptops and tablets out there and so many browsers in use... (here comes the begging bit) can I ask you folks to go to lofcwomen.com and let me know if it all works on your device. It's quite the task to make the same web code work on soo many different screens and browsers and still satisfy the demands of the slave masters at Google. Much obliged. You may need to refresh or wait a few seconds for the page to over-write the old version which probably lives in your cache.

Checked my iPad no problems at all, super fast access, no delays and very clear with no issues at all.
I’ve also checked it on my Samsung which obviously runs on an android operating system and again no issues at all, super fast clean and clear.
Hope both helps.

It worked well on my Iphone mini 12. I just had a software update a few days ago and that hasn’t changed anything. Thanks for your work.
