Bedwetting of the highest order.
So Richie thinks the window could've been better. So what? Last week he said he'd like one more attacker in but would be fine without. Also said they were trying to move a couple of players on, who turned out to be Thompson and Drinan. In the end, he didn't get the attacker he wanted but apparently wasn't that fussed about. We also lost Turns because the player and his club weren't happy with his game time. That's on Richie. He picks the team.
There are clearly some short memories on this board cos we've seen Richie a helluva lot angrier than that!

Agree that I think this is empty bladder bedwetting. Ritchie is ambitious. The board are ambitious. Nothing to see here.

I don't think Richie was particularly angry with Ling, the club or anything else. He's an emotional soul and got bored sitting in the executive box five floors up. He likes to wave his arms, shout and get into the nitty gritty of the game. I thought our players missed him and he missed shouting at them. All the comings and goings were as he said they would be a week or so ago. The Agyei injury was a complete and unfortunate surprise.

Think the point here is being missed.
It's easy to see the position of RW and of the club, of course it is . And there is absolutely no problem with RW and ML having a different take on the window. Nor on the best way for all concerned to satisfy their ambitions. All this stuff is perfectly normal and in the great scheme of things is no big deal. I have absolutely no doubt in Board meetings our Directors disagree on a regular basis on matters of progress and expenditure before agreeing the best way forward. Healthy, can help create a better business and better solutions. If disagreement becomes impossible to reconcile,, damaging, someone resigns. Last resort. Thats life.
However, airing this in public is poor management. That is the issue. Either agree on a public compromise position or shut up. Nothing good comes from what has happened. That’s the problem. NT has work to do to resolve this. Pronto. Quietly, peacefully and in private. We all want progress.

We have to keep Richie in the club he is our best hope since we left what is now the championship to get us back there. I do believe Justin would have done it as well, just sometimes life can be s***. The club is bigger than RW . So far our owners have made good decisions and I hope they carry on making good decisions .

The point isn't being missed, it's being dis missed. It's overblown, misrepresentative of what Richie actually said, and removed from context. It's not like he's gone off on some rant apropos of nothing. He's been asked questions and has answered them honestly. He obviously feels we moved too late for the striker he wanted (but, according to him last week, didn't need). Other than that, I don't think he's actually said anything different from what Lingy said the day before, has he?

And NT is ideally placed to guide him. For the sake of his career. He is a great manager who should go far but cannot get a reputation as a loose cannon. Like it or not, tact, diplomacy and self control are important the higher he goes. You can get away with just so much.

RW too perhaps not best pleased for his own reasons. You and I both know that. It needs sorting quickly, quietly and importantly in private and I’ve little doubt NT will resolve. And I doubt it will be repeated. Lessons learned and we move on. Sort it, don’t let it fester. It will be sorted, hopefully, then we can all get back to football.

All this fuss over Wellens. He knows exactly what the score is. He's done a great job for us and HIMSELF. He knows that we wouldn't survive in the championship, but to get to at least the playoffs this season would raise his stock even more. Then he would be gone before the disaster of the championship unfolded. Can you imagine him risking the sack after loss upon loss and the constant meltdown of the fans. No way is he going to accept that. Enjoy the remainder of this season and see if he is around for the next. The only caveat to this is if there are major investors waiting in the wings

Lingy always leaves buying in the market too late. 3 deals were agreed and signed in the last hour of the deadline. The 2 he bought in has no loan experience and will take time to settle. Just academy players. I support everything he said
