Steve Evans Charisma or was it the contract conditions offered this has already got 3 players signed. Iwonder how many more will be making their way to the South Yorkshire club?

As Rotherham yo-yo they must have accrued a League 1 war chest.Probably be among the favourites to get promoted.Evans is a canny manager as well.

Evans has many critics but certainly seems to have no problem getting players in and getting the best out of them.

If you get your business done early you can relax knowing the stress levels is less and you've (possibly) got the players you want.
Then you get them in 1st day of preseason which allows everyone to be at the same levels, be drilled in the same drills and be clear about tactics.
As RW said a few times ours was disrupted (for want of a better word) players arriving late, not fit, not drilled and tactically catching up.
We were 11 point behind after 4 games, we ended up 12 points off the play offs. Get the signings in early and give RW the best chance to get it right from the get go.

Agree with everything you say, but it’s the recruitment team that needs convincing. Me, I think with his ‘us being down the pecking order’ comment is paving the way for later deals, hopefully not late deals. But we do have Pratley and Simpson sorted. Hopefully a few others like Happe and Soteriou.

He is doing the same at Rotherham that he did at Stevenage. Getting in experienced, proven players. McWilliams at 25 the youngest but been around. the others circa 29 and know what the game is all about. With Evans you know what you get.

It appears that Steve Evans coffee consumption is increasing! Rotherham are apparently about to make their FIFTH signing this month by picking up midfielder Joe Powell from Burton Albion!☕️

He thought if it's good enough for him then I'll have some of that. Hey presto hence the energy to be able to make all these signings. ☕️🫗

Disagree with getting players in early...well, this early anyway. Around early-mid June is when I think is a good time. If we did our business early last summer I doubt we would have picked up Jordan Graham.

On the other hand gives them longer to get pre season injuries.Damned if you do,damned if you don't.As I have often said leave it to others and hope we start the season with our best line up.A line up signed to get us higher than last season which by any standards was excellent.

Meanwhile Stevenage continue the Evans style with their first signing. 25 year old Northampton striker moves to the Lamex stadium. Alex Revell getting in early. Decent enough strike rate.
I guess they must be amongst those others who are getting first pick whilst we wait for the best of the rest.

Make that 5 for Rotherham. Evans packing his squad with solid league one experienced players. Expect Rotherham to be a strong side next season in and around the playoffs.
The guy don’t hang about. Doubt the coffee has a chance to get hot.

I take it you were privy to all last seasons signings then . Go away and relax for a while and let the people that know do the business !
