Southgateball is a poor man's Wellensball Indeed they are. In view of the perceived value of some of these players, I'd say this performance is lazy and inept.

Awful and lucky to get away with a draw.Southgate is the problem he's been dealt a wonderful hand with some fantastic players over the last few tournaments and has the best squad in the whole tournament and he sets up not to lose

It cost us the game against Italy in the finals as well. this is arguably the best England team for a long while with some quality, world class players. If we cant win anything with these players then questions should be asked.

I’m glad I don’t get too worked up by football these days, because God, that was awful.

With 4 points and a positive goal difference, England have just qualified for last 16 barring freak results like Scotland beating Hungary by 4 goals. Tournaments are not won in the group stage. That written, England will have to improve otherwise they will be coming home before the quarter finals.

The armchair fans who are moaning that we didn't win 6 - 0 are ignorant.
We've qualified out of the group, no serious injuries, that's all that matters.
And I wont lose any sleep when one of the big guns knocks us out
I cant really get excited by international football, I'm more conerned that Orient haven't bought a goalie.

Well that was woeful. Our tactics were very poor, our formation was crap, our ability to pass a ball embarrassing and for players to keep giving possession away and or robbed of possession at the level was poor, really poor.
It was quite telling that Kane said it’s the tactics the manager is employing.
To be fair to the Danes, we didn’t deserve anything from that game at all. We were proper s***.

You know what MrB it was worse than that and these are international players. We moan / I’ve moaned when we’ve been bad and losing to Burton was as low a performance as you could get. Whilst we moan at a bad performance we must also accept these are league one players. We should not be accepting that from supposed top level players. Tonight was an embarrassment to the country.

The key feature of this game is that England have qualified, almost, for the next round. Have we not seen other competition winners start in this way in the past? Cheer up everyone. If we get a result playing badly then what happens when the performance improves?

Has a country ever changed its Manager during a tournament?
