There's a good player inside of Sanders.
He seemed to have played more games for us than I thought though. 30 games in a season isn't bad at all.
But always seemed to be injured.
I'd have kept him, but everything is part of a bigger plan so we'll see what happens.
Exciting times though. Things starting to happen.

We need players in, not out. We need more signings than just Idris or an Idris replacement. I like Sanders but he's injured a lot and him and Galbraith is a bit of a luxury. I'm gonna guess this means selling Sanders makes more financial sense than just trying to get Moncs' wage off the books. |

Nonetheless, we still need loads of players in yet we are only a week away from our first pre-season game. With multiple substitutions these days minutes played is a better guide, he hasn’t played many minutes despite appearing in the matchday squad a lot. |

Afaik Moncs makes in the region of 70k a year more than Sanders and I doubt anyone's paying a fee for him. Don't forget that not only would someone have to want him, but he'd also have to want to go there. Otherwise he's more than entitled to just sit out his contract. Transfermarkt has Sanders valued at 200k, so assuming we got something along those lines, that's 130k more than we would've gotten from shunting Moncs off, plus a potential sell-on fee. |

The fact he's gone to a League Two team says it all 100+ games in league 1 is proof enough he can operate at our level. Maybe he just wants guaranteed starts in league 2 than his usual bit parts with us. We don’t know who is coming in and hopefully as good as he is, we get better. But anyone seeing him play knows well he is good enough in league 1. I’m sure people made similar comments about Smyth when he dropped down. |

Sorry but I am pleased he has gone, never fully fit and in my view never influenced a game when he did pay.
I am surprised that we got a fee for him though I suspect it was minimal.
