Is it slightly premature to be talking about Saturday’s away game at Northampton as a “ six pointer”? I’ve seen several references to the match being described that way but given it’s only mid October is that realistic? Given the current league table ( link below) what do you guys think? Poll closes @ 3pm on Friday ( 18th October).👍 www.skysports.com/league-1-table

Not IMO still too early to get a real idea of how good or bad other teams are although i do think there's probably six teams that will be in a league of their own and will start to pull clear of the rest.As for us i think once we've played everyone we'll know pretty much where we stand.I do believe we've got a really exciting squad and we've shown that in spells so far. That said the next ten games are all winnable so we do need to start picking up points

If we were mid table ATM maybe not, but seeing as we are teetering very close to the relegation zone it does feel every bit a lot like a six pointer....imo.

Let me put it this way, if we were sitting in 6th place playing the team in 7th on level points with us it would unquestionably be a "six pointer" irrespective of the stage of the season we are at....imo.

It’s not too early to worry about this game. We have some decent players but I feel the issue is one of confidence. A poor result and confidence will drop even further making recovery harder. Especially if we dip into the relegation zone.
A good result however could kick a revival.
Performance is unimportant if we lose. It s equally unimportant if we win. It all about the result!

With four other teams below Orient and Northampton, it isn’t a six pointer. Would be a good game to win to put Orient up to 3 points clear of the relegation places.

Just hope their little striker Hoskins doesn't play. He always scores against us it seems.

Fair point but both Crawley & Shrewsbury are now within touching distance. That said , I’d put the game more in the category of “ must not lose” tbh. I feel confidence would be badly dented if we came away with nowt!

Both Northampton games last season were played like 6 pointers, brilliant games. Makes me want to go again this year but have made the decision not to

Results are in guys. Only six of you feel relaxed about the possibility of the Os losing tomorrow! Certainly hoping that I’ll see at least one point returning to Brisbane Rd.👍

I believe we would need to score 2 goals to be likely to come away with anything
I'm not confident that will happen

If there were just 11 games left, I would have a different opinion.

Northampton are suffering a major injury crisis. Not just us is it. They will be putting out a severely weakened squad. We need to win. No excuses.

A worried fan has listed the players not available against us. Key players too it seems. So our task should be a little easier. I expect a win. And with all this practice in the final third, a few goals too. No sweat. The revival starts. My optimism knows no limits.
