I think this lockdown got relaxed way too soon.
We are the second worst in the world at controlling Covid after all.

Another one of the Dame Emma Thompson set! Self virtuous hypocrites who preach to others whilst firmly believing that the rules donโt apply to them!๐๐

Mask and Gloves did he keep them on during the whole journey? Probably had a dozen pairs of them specially designed at great cost by Armani so he could change and dispose of them on an hourly basis ( in a bio- degradable sort of way of course) on his journey!๐

God bless the Dominic Cummings mess. Was he wearing brown trousers too in Durham? When can we expect his resignation then?

Lockdown is over for me.
Since Boris done his thing with that stupid traffic light system and slogan about Staying Aware where he confused the fook out of everyone.
I'm been doing my own thing since then. Common sense.
Am I going to go to a place like a beach? No.
Have I been in Tesco or Sainsbury's yet? No.
Will I be taking my children not that far to let them stretch their legs in different surroundings where we can keep our distance? Yes. If I think it's safe to do so.
Am I going back to work? Yes. But I ain't getting on no tube or bus.
Will I Work from home for the foreseeable? Yes.
Have I seen my Mum? Yes I went a couple of weeks back and we shouted over the back fence to each other. Kept our distance.

Kept our distance. Tbh what you are doing, using common sense, is what Boris was saying. He is trying to treat people like sensible adults who understand the situation. I really donโt get the confusion. For sure there will be oddities, like the cross border issues, but again common sense comes into play. its the dickheads who donโt seem to have any common sense. The juries out on Cummings, which is where he should be in my opinion. Out.

You have to go with the expectation that common sense isn't that common. Been trying to explain this to my Mum (73, retired at 40ish) over the last few months.
Common sense was in abundance when she (and most on this forum if my statistics are accurate..) were younger.
At 40 I'm the best of both worlds. I can apply common sense as I've grown up with it but understand there has to be a clarity as I've worked for twenty odd years having to comply with nonsensical management speak and beaurocracy, but I'm also able to call someone out who's taking the pee. It's an art.
My mum don't understand why people need rules for everything and the younger generation seemingly can't live without guidelines. They're polar opposites to each other.
Like most things you can't apply a one size fits all to the Nation so you have to go with the basic rules. And Boris' rules or whoever made the rules weren't clear at all for adhering to.
