It's a shame there's so many negative comments about the team tonight. They had several good efforts at goal and were unlucky not to get a couple. The counter-attack goal was almost a classic 0-1, home loss, cold night, 89th minute, injury-ridden, manager booked, grumpy-face gift. Someone said we were going to Orient it up, and we did. Let's move on. We are not a rich club, it's a fan's club. We are new in this league, it's going to be tough. To stay up will be a result. My only grump today is that Piggot got substituted, after being the best player on the pitch. Poor old Max didn't seem to know where to stand. Wigan is a must draw. Yes, we're new in this league but it's not exactly the Premier League is it? A lot of sour comments on the other board about none of the players being up to League 1 standard. It's the Third Division for goodness sake. Yes but we will have to improve when we play Man City and Chelsea next season

My opinion is that forget the early season forecasts by some of Os getting to the play-offs etc this season. In fact it would seem to be far more likely that its going to be a fight to avoid getting relegated and losing last seasons goalkeeper, Laurence Lawrence Vigouroux has been a huge miss.

Reluctantly rewatched the highlights, but we had the better of it. Pigott and Ruel should have both scored. Could have said that for most games this season so im accepting that their level is one below this.
Not sure what Galbraith has done to not to be in the starting XI more often. Along with Graham and Cooper he has shown the quality uptick from the League 2 median.
RW post match - it’s gratifying (sometimes) when managers name the players not pulling their weight, but does it ever end well? Agree that Happe could and should be more dominant but improvement is a two way street
Result is eclipsed by the circumstance of this replay. RIP Derek

It sounds like we had a bad day at the office, we all have them.
Onto Saturday now and I'm sure there will be a positive reaction from the players.

It sounds like we had a bad day at the office, we all have them. Onto Saturday now and I'm sure there will be a positive reaction from the players. I’d like to think so. Too many bad days at the office and we will be trouble. Winning is a habit, so is losing. By and large we have a decent squad and far too good to go down. But last night they looked like a team lacking in belief and motivation. Lincoln were poor, very poor. Yet good enough to beat us. That is a worry. We talk of missed chances but the best ones fell to them. Some games we will lose despite putting in a decent performance, it happens. Last night was not one of those. For RW to make the post match comments he did sums it up. Even he struggled to find positives which is unusual for him. There were no positives from a game as bad as any I’ve seen for a long time. I really hope the players and coaches get together, work out what is wrong and fix it for Saturday. We are long overdue for a win.

Performance was fine, just a bad day at the office.
Dohnut is being overly dramatic, calm down dear it was only Lincoln City at home on a Tuesday night.
We go again, keep the faith

We go again, keep the faith I agree 100% with this. The overreaction from some has been incredible. I didnt see players not giving ‘a damn’ or playing like elephants and all the other drivel Ive read. I saw two evenly matched teams working hard to break each other down.

Lincoln turned out to be the more savvy team on the night but they are more experienced in the league. We need to keep the faith and, more importantly, keep those sheets dry as a bone

Why are you calling people out on a forum?
Pretty sad existence you must lead especially for someone of such advanced years as you style yourself.
As I said: grow up.

My take, for what it’s worth. Overall the defence played well though it must be said they had little to face, but playing 3 strikers is a nonsense , with no wing play whatsoever. Ok. Graham is out long term along with Agyei and archibald was injured but surely we have someone who can play on the wing, what about Oberio. Piggott should have scored with the header he sent over the bar and if drinnan had looked up instead of shooting he would have seen sotirou totally unmarked. We had the lions share of possession but it was going nowhere and nobody had the skill to take on defenders, oh for smyth back. El mazouri was head and shoulders above anyone else and if he gets recalled we will be deep in the brown stuff. I guess my bets on winning the league and promotion are down the drain and it’s now a battle to stay up which will not be helped if Brynn Carrie’s on trying to dribble round the pressing forward instead of just clearing it. 3 times he was almost caught out and you can bet that others will take note. As an aside I can’t believe the bookmakers make us odds on to beat Wigan especially as we have lost our last 3 home games.

When we signed him I was delighted, based on his past record, alas he has yet to recapture that form. If he does the goals will come. The Drinan miss was a sign of a player without match practice and low on confidence. He must be under enormous pressure to revive his career. And what was Brynn thinking. Got away with it big time. El Miz and James were the only players who came out of that with any credit. Just.
